Dr. Alfred Okeke

I was referred to this practice by my GP for hypothyroidism/metabolism issues. My thyroid doesn’t maintain a normal balance and was referred to him for answers. He acted as if I was wasting his time and the visit ended with me in tears and walking out the door. I have many words for this man and professional isn’t one of them.

I tried for 8 years to have good management with this team. If he has a great nurse, who listens and translates your needs, care is okay. If not, you struggle and fear death! As a type 1 diabetic, I need a care team who listens. I changed docs, drive to Raleigh to see her. It's only been 8 weeks and my blood sugars are better than they have EVER been with Okeke. I really regret not leaving sooner. Please, if you arent feeling like they are on your team, leave, there are better endochronologists available to you!

Made me feel really bad thought my whole appointment. Left the doctors office crying, no doctor should make me feel as poorly as he did.

My visit with Dr. Okeke. Was wonderful. He listened to me and took the time to explain things to me. I was very impressed with and everyone at the office I encountered. I arrived about an hour early for my appointment fully prepared to wait but I was called within minutes and didn't have to wait long for him to come to my room. I haven't been back for follow up yet that's why I rated that 3 stars. I feel confident Dr. Okeke and the staff will continue to impress me with their kindness and respect.

I stay with Dr. Okeke, because the next closet Endo my insurance accepts is quite a ride. We are working on our relationship so hopefully I will feel differently after a bit longer.

Dr. Okeke is a great doctor, and tells it like it is. I like the fact that he is so well spoken, and has a good working knowledge of the disease. I am so sad he has left the area.

My experience with Dr Okeke and his staff has been wonderful. From the first appointment they have provided first rate care and are very knowledgable in their jobs. They treated me and answered all my concerns. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good endocrinologist.

During my short first visit, Dr. Okeke made me feel stupid for believing the diagnosis given by the referring urgent care center and for following the treatment given by my primary care physician. He scheduled tests and two follow-up appointments and was out the exam room and building exit doors in no time flat. Guess he had a lunch date. On my 2nd visit, for the tests, I waited for the employee at the checkout desk to complete her personal phone call contesting some charge on her internet and/or phone bill. She held up a finger in acknowledgement that I was waiting. After 15 minutes of waiting for her to complete her call, I walked out. I have no doubt that if I owe any money on my bill, they'll be sure to let me know on my next visit. In the meantime, I'm going to see if I can get on the waiting list for a different endocrinologist.

besides not being able to understand him, I think he is only in for the money. I have given so much time and money to this clinic without any help in the end. I kept up with him for 18 months and it was 18 months too long. Yes I have found another Dr who gets to the problem as soon as you have your first appt. I will not recommend this dr to anyone.

I would certainly recommend Dr Okeke to anyone. He has a great personality and wonderful staff.
