Dr. Alfred Scarsi Roller, MD

I like him he is a good doctor who cares about his patients.

Went to the ED with very bad shoulder/ back pain of 1 week duration. Dr. Roller did no real assessment. Didn't review the X-rays before seeing me didn't even know they had been taken! Gave the clear impression he thought I was there just to get pain meds. Went to my regular doctor and saw his PA 2 days later and was diagnosed with a bulging disk in my neck. His bedside manner is sarcastic in presentation. In my opinion he did a very poor job. I have been an RN for 28 years and have a clear knowledge of what quality health care is, this person does not.

After an overnight stay in the hospital for joint replacement surgery I was released. I had over a two hour trip home. On the trip home I developed a severe headache,vomiting and abdominal pain. I had taken only one pain pill before leaving the Hospital. It came back up! This was due to a reaction to the anesthetic. My husband took me to the emergency room at our local Hospital. We arrived at Ten PM. I waited thirty minutes for a bed. We finally saw the DR. and explained what was happening and the time of the last dose of pain meds. He was rude and rough during the so-called exam and several times he asked if I was taking other "drugs". I did receive IV fluids and IV anti-nausea meds. He then told me to stop taking the prescription medication. Not once did he inquire about the joint ( thumb and carpel tunnel release) surgery. I was bandaged from my finger tips to my elbow. It was hard to miss. I feel I deserved more respect and better care than I was given. I was released at 6:00… AM. Eight painfull hours without relief. This is outrageous!! I am a seventy-one year old woman who deserves better.
