I went for a second opinion regarding my back pain and from relentless pain. It took. Me almost six weeks just to get an appointment to see this neurosurgeon. I had to send endless amounts of records for their review. When I finally met with Dr. Shen, I found him to be rude and aloof. He spent an hour with me but most of the time, he kept disproving my concerns about the severity of my symptoms and any urgent need for spine surgery. He even asked me why I couldn't find a physican closer in my area. He sent me home with a prescription to get a nerve block instead. What a waste of time and energy to schedule an appointment and get no real help.
