Dr. Ali Banaie, MD

The receptionist Merrie is very unprofessional, RUDE, ill-mannered, unpleasant, salty, impolite, tastelessness. She has no phone etiquette and patient care is not a priority. Baffled on why a Physician would keep a repulsive immoral person to be the voice and face of his practice. First impressions speak volumes in a medical office. Merrie is a rotten apple to the practice.

The office staff at Frost St were the most unprofessional, and unwelcoming I have ever dealt with, ever! This was the 4th Gastro I had been referred to, in 2 years, with extreme bloating, cramping, extreme bile, and not being able to eat anything but dry bread, plain bland cereal and milk, 3 meals a day for 2 years! 1st said it was in my head, referred to 2nd, who said that wasn't where my pain was, referred to 3rd, who did nothing, referred to Nurse practitioner, who told me I needed to take the same 3 prescriptions I told her caused me severe cramping, ad I had taken before, but said I needed to give them a chance, and I said I have given them a chance, but said, ok, I will do what you say and let you know. Took the meds, they did what I told her they would do, and caused me severe cramping, and did no good to helping my situation I came to her for! I did some research online, and found a test to see if there was acid in your stomach, that is necessary to turn solid food into… liquid, before going into the intestines, which will cause too much bile, and cause bile acid malabsorption, which sounded exactly like what I was going through, for the last many years and many gastros, and undiagnosed, untreated. I did the test, and failed it, which said I had no acid in my stomach which is critical for digestion, and not causing severe bile excretion, like I had. I called the bald-headed lady at the front desk in Bonaie's office at Frost St, and left a message that I wanted to make an appt to see Dr Bonaie, not the Nurse practitioner, and they never called me back, even after calling again and requesting the same a second time. Now I was abandoned by the 4th Gastro, and told to take medications I told her would cause me great discomfort and cramping! I filed a Medical Board Complaint, and it is still active, as they investigate how I was treated, and not diagnosed properly, and not treated for what I came in for. Unbelievable lack of proper medical knowledge and not listening to the patient, when they repeatedly tell you certain medications upset them greatly, and they insist you take them anyway! One of the medications was rinitidine, generic for Zantac, and I saw a commercial on tv, and found out Zantac and it's generics had been recalled for causing cancer, and neither the Nurse practitioner, Dr Bonaie, or his staff called to tell me to quit taking it immediately, since it was recalled, but left me to find out on my own, weeks later!!! Completely Dangerous Doctor's Office and so-called medical practitioners, in my opinion! You may want to consider choosing a different doctor's office!!

Mary in the front office is rude, argumentative and unprofessional. Based off her behavior alone I would never refer anyone to that office! If first impression is everything, they have failed greatly!

I love Dr. banaie He Is so caring, and makes sure the proper tests are done to get you on the road to recovery. He is one of the nicest doctors I have ever seen, and seems to know his business.. I tell everyone I know, that needs a Gastro doctor.

very arrogrant. not informative about serious conditions. laughs at a patient in horrible pain. it is not funny at all. he should be the patient and see how horrible pain feels. he would want the proper care for himself. he does not follow the rules for complete care and treatment of the patient.

Doctor Banaie is highly knowledgable and listens. After a year of being in a flare and forced to change my doctor due to insurance, Dr Banaie was a Godsend. He listened and asked questions. He explained options and their rational. Within a short time, I was in remission. Recently, I had difficulty and he returned my call promptly. He offered helpful advice that calmed my stomach. I am glad he is my doctor.

Just an overall great Doctor. Very knowledgeable, personable, with a great personality, made me feel like family. Caught my problem and treated it and i feel like anew again. Thanks to Dr Banai

This is one of the best doctors I have had. He is knowledgable, he takes the time to explain the procedures and answer any/all questions that you have. Bonus, he has a good personality too. I had good experiences with his on-call staff as well. His office people could be more professional, but you can have everything.
