I was referred to Dr. Banki by my PCP for some moles & AK's he thought were very suspicious and having several immediate family members with melanoma's, I made an appointment. What a disappointment! Dr. Banki couldn't be bothered to spend more than 5 minutes with me. When I showed him some of my more concerning spots and questioned them, he replied to everyone of them as being normal. When I asked what normal was, he refused to elaborate and told me to stop worrying about them. Well, when I have 5 family members die from cancer, you can understand my need for answers and he refused to give me any and showed to compassion what so ever about my concerns. Dr. Banki has a horrible disposition and personalty for a doctor, I will never return to this man nor do I recommend him.

I began seeing Dr. Banki after my primary doctor recommended him. His office was close by my home and on my way to work, so it was even more convenient to visit his practice. My first visit with him I left kind of whiplashed. Our meeting last less than 10 minutes. For a new patient that seemed super quick. He did not once TOUCH my face. And when I told him about concerns I have about discoloration, he pretty much told me that because I am Black I can expect it. He made me do a follow up visit 6 weeks later. When I returned my acne had subsided however my other skin concerns persisted. When I told him I was still concerned about it, he told me it was hormonal. Seemed like he was guessing, then told me he'd see me in six months. Less than a week later I had a major skin reaction on my face, this time when I made an emergency appointment he literally said to me "What happened, I thought you came for acne." I had no idea dermatologists only treated acne. Or perhaps he's too busy selling… botox injections to care about other conditions. He then told me I probably had a life changing disease without any tests just based on the rash on my face and the only way to prove it would be to cut my face open for a biopsy that would scar my face for life. He displayed no sympathy or what even felt like actual caring for my concerns or how his prognosis could possibly change my life. He just as swiftly pushed me out the medical room to make appointments to cut my face open. I have since sought a second opinion and the difference of my treatment there is night and day. I have never been to a doctor that has been this daft. I will never go back to see Dr. Banki. I also would warn any person of color to go ELSEWHERE. He will probably misdiagnose you of diseases prominent in minority communities, tell you to expect bad skin because you are a person of color and not even look you in the eyes while you're talking to him.

I have been seeing Dr. Banki for about 3 years and he has been very professional, effective, and respectful.
