Dr. Ali Khalil Choucair, MD

I’m a patient. treated me like scum of the earth. Just because he can’t figure out what’s wrong he said he spent too much time with me but got paid for every minute. Was mad because I was 6 minutes late yet his sign said he was running 15 minutes behind. Spent more time with his 1 finger typing than with me and complained that he was busy and had other patients. Learn to type. Didn’t they teach that at the quack school he went to? I said I have neuropathy after being on Chemo and he looked up an rolled his eyes! Yes I saw that as if he didn’t believe me . That was rude. Again said said he spent too much time with me and had other patients ....that was rude. When I got up to leave After he said that And opened the door he slammed it shut and blocked the door trapping me in the room. I felt intimidated by him and quite honestly scared. The look in his eyes was very mean. He the told me to get out.

Dr. Choucair appears to be a thorough and thoughtful doctor... good listener. He researched patient's labs over a period of time. His bedside manner is very comforting. He was caring during the office visit, asking pertinent questions that most doctors would not ask. He called directly when he thought there was a possibility that patient might be pregnant, knowing that patient had a MRI scheduled.

Short waiting time. He was very friendly and personable. Explained things. Allowed time for questions.

Poor service, not a good doctor. Just wants to keep ordering tests, acts like he doesn't care and I have a hard time understanding him and he has a hard time understanding me as well. My first clue should've been his weak, limp, wimpy handshake. Find a REAL neurologist!

Caring and Thorough

More worried about himself and leaving for a vacation on a friday than he is about his patients... Plus had me worried over nothing with a misdiagnosis.. Took a phone call from spouse during appt.

Dr. Choucair was my dr for over a year b4 moving. After a few visits and him getting to know me he was my best dr. Very CARING. Brain cancer yikes! He was the only nuerooncologist in the state and I needed him. His eperience is second to none. After coming from another hosp he got me doing better (low blood count). He expects the best from staff and thats obvious but its for my good too.

Dr. Choucair was friendly in initially greeting me but came into the exam room very rushed & seemed anxious. I think he might overbook his appointments because it seemed like I had to wait longer for him than my other doctors. I needed to see a good neurologist & he was highly rated. He does seem very knowledgeable but when I started to ask questions because I had difficulty understanding him, he grew more agitated & was impatient with me. I need a neurologist who is very skillful but equally easy to talk to & understand.

I don't like the side-effects of the meds and wanted to try something different. He had no way of helping me. I need someone with more knowledge.
