Dr. Ali Hakim Mesiwala, MD

When I first was first referred to Dr. Mesiwalia I was coming off my 4th back surgery with chronic pain in my lower back and neck.I had degenerated disc disease plus scoliosis & pinch nerves in my neck. I had atrophy in right arm & left legs. This was from a assault from a prisoner,a car accident in my unit and being involved in numerous riots. I’m an retired Peace Officer for the State. By the time I met Dr. Mesiwalia I could barely walk. I drag my leg was bend over from the waist with nerve damage & chronic pain. I could not sit, stand or walk that far. I was in constant chronic pain.I could hardly use my right hand & arm. Dr. Mesiwalia never promised me anything. He literally had to rebuild my back from my lower back to the middle of my shoulder blades. He also rebuilt my neck. I am happy to say I now have a life. I stand straight, walk normal, sit. I exercise regularly with weights. I ride my bike and even though I’m retired I still work part time. I have had to have 24 surgeries… but I can do anything I want . I’m seventy but feel like I’m in my fifties. My pain is not completely gone but it’s manageable. I don’t know what I would have done if Dr. Mesiwalia had not reconstructed my back and neck. He is so humble but truly gifted. I and my family thank you.

I wish there was a way to rate this monster at zero stars. He is incompetent and dishonest. A complete hack and fraud. His reputation among his peers is horrible. He operated on me three times. Every time it was a disaster. After the first surgery I had a spinal fluid leak. Next, he operated to repair the leak and that failed. Next, he operated on me again and I developed a severe infection. He knew that the hospital doctor was going to draw a sample from the surgical site which was very swollen and hot to the touch. He rushed in before the test and put me on an IV antibiotic, which he knew would make the infection test negative. The hospital doctor who ordered the test was livid. She said, "God willing, he won't be practicing medicine for long. He is a nightmare." My surgical infection turned to a full blood infection. Eventually I was put in ICU and my family was told I might not be going home and that they should prepare. He was featured on ABC News for using an unapproved… mixture of bone growth compounds which caused many patients to require multiple surgeries to correct. This man is a disgrace to the medical community. Beware!

Horrible experience

Dr Mesiwala saved my life, after years of chronic pain, i can finally look forward to a less debilitating future. I am very satisfied with Dr. Mesiwala. I always walk in with a list of questions for him to answer, and he always does. I recently had my 2nd surgery and although i am still recovering my prognosis look good. I am thankfull to God for putting him in my life. His p.a. Michelle and office staff are also amazing. Thank you for making these experiences easy and as painless as possible.

The office in San Bernardino, CA was wonderful.... Had a hard time at the Pomona office... But everyone was so helpful and enjoyed going to this office because of how the staff made you feel..No matter what you needed....thank you!!!!

My experience with Doctor Mesiwall was amazing, today is two months after my L3-L5 fusion, my surgery went well. Now I can get up in the morning withoutv pain, walking 35 minutes without stoping or sitting. I am very happy with the outcome Overall I got my life back.He is a caring doctor and I would recommend him to everyone I know.

My experience with Dr. Mesiwala has been amazing. I was diagnosed with a Cavernous Angioma. I was referred to Dr. Mesiwala and he had all my scans and medical records sent to him right away. When my family and I went to see him for the first time, we were very impressed by him. He explained my options and gave me his best opinion (the Gamma Knife). The kindness and compassion he showed put me at ease. What he gave me was my life back and thank you will never be enough.

About a year ago my dad had weeks of back pain. Other doctors were just giving him the run around and only prescribing him pain medication. My dad was so bad he couldn't, stand, sit, or even lay for long periods of time. We then went to see Dr Mesiwala, who was recommended by many of our close friends. He was so great. Very attentive and had my dad ready for surgery in a very timely manner. The surgery was a success and my dad said he felt like a new man right after surgery. I would strongly recommend Dr Mesiwala to everyone I know.

I've had 7 back surgeries and needed help so.am.hoping a.spinal Cord simulator will help!! He seems like the right doctor to do this too!
