Dr. Ali Mohamed Sherif, MD

Dr. Sherif has seen all six of my children. He is extremely knowledgeable, he listens, he cares, and his experience with children is evident. He has been a true hero when our kids have been hospitalized. We trust him completely.

We had a good visit, but I wouldn’t say it was great. I was not impressed, but there is nothing overall to complain about. Staff was friendly and helpful. Dr. Sherif seems knowledgeable and experienced. He did a good job on my son’s circumcision at the hospital. He seemed in a bit of a hurry at our clinic visit though which I do not appreciate in a Dr. The clinic itself is old and lacking in windows, but they had nice friendly murals and pictures to make it feel more inviting.

The receptionist has the worse attitude every single time I have went. I figured she might of just being having a bad day the first time I went. 4 appointments later and she still has the bad attitude. Maybe I will return if they get proper training on how to be courteous to patients. Or not be where she has to interact with the patients. He is a good doctor. It is sad that he is losing patience because of the staff. But I will not return.

I have taken my son to American Medical for tinea capitis and cream was prescribed which obviously failed to eradicate the problem. I had to take my son to Lea Regional Emergency before an oral medication was prescribed which did the trick. Now, my son has developed it on his body instead of his head. I took him to Dr Sherif and once again a cream was prescribed which has failed so far and the condition is getting worse. What is up with health professionals in Hobbs!
