Rushed Body Exam!

On a recent visit Dr Brown excised a cyst on my back. After the surgery I was prescribed an antibiotic for five days which turned out very badly. On my return to the office to have the stitches removed I told the technician about my experience with the side effects (shooting pains in my brain, pains in my kidney, a rash, and several boil-like sores. I asked twice to be seen by Dr Brown and was told each time that the Dr "was tied up seeing patients" . My only conclusion was that I was not ranked as a patience of sufficient importance to justify Dr Brown's time or attention. The technician assured me that Dr Brown or her nurse would contact me. After a month of waiting I finally gave up and searched out a new Dermatologist, who on my first visit convinced me he really was convinced in my health and welfare. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Took care of the problem, but while I was there to have a rash on my back looked at, she very quickly numbed a spot on it and took a biopsy specimen without my consent or even awareness that she had done it. She was getting a piece of gauge or a bandage to cover the area when I asked what it was for, and she told me. Maybe she thought her staff had consented me, but they had not, and it very disconcerting. A skin biopsy is a very minor procedure, but it's very shocking to have someone cut even a small piece of skin off your body without preparing or alerting you to it beforehand.

Horrible! Wrong diagnosis and spent less than 5 minutes with me. Thank god I found a doctor who spent time with me and in turn a correct diagnosis.

Very easy to talk to, understood immediately what outcome I wanted.
