Dr. Alice Pandora Blake, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Blake since we moved to Idaho many many years ago. I have gone to her for all sorts of odd and assorted problems, big and small. Both Dr. Blake and her assistants are always helpful and take time to listen to my problems. She is willing to to put forth alternative treatments/medicine or other physicians for any issues. I always have appreciated her being up front and direct with any of my many questions. I had an issue last week and she was able to see me right away, then she followed up to make sure all was ok. My husband now goes to her and is happy to have her as his doctor, as well as some of my other friends. I highly recommend Dr. Blake and so glad I found her when we moved here.

Dr. B is the real primary care physician. She is my PCP in Boise. At my first visit she showed her very well-trained medical diagnostic skills. She is excellent educated and she has the naturally instinct to understand her patients; adults and pediatric. Regardless of her busy schedule, she makes plenty of time to listen and she is a compassioned physician, ready to give plenty of resources to her patients. I highly recommend her care. I consider her practice outstanding

Dr. Blake has been my physician for many years now. I have never had a bad experience with her. She never rushes through my appointment, taking time to listen to my concerns. Dr. Blake has also created a safe environment where I am not nervous about questioning a treatment she has recommended for me. I feel like I have a partner in my health care. The staff is super friendly, and very professional. I would recommend Dr. Blake to anyone needing a new doctor. A side note to this review is there are four people that I work with have Dr. Blake as their main physician. She must be doing something right!

Dr. Blake has been my primary care physician for about twenty years now. I always have a wonderful experience and she has caught issues that the emergency room has missed. The staff was incredibly friendly, and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Blake!

I was severely disappointed in Dr Blake during my daughter’s appointments. She not only lacked bedside manner, but was dismissive of my concerns and did not perform adequate pediatric assessments (did not listen to heart & lungs using stethoscope). She misdiagnosed my daughter’s eye infection and refused to give me prescription eye drops because they would “sting her eyes”, an incorrect statement. She also made a huge misjudgment stating that she thought my 6 month old daughter had autism because she wasn’t making eye contact with her (this was stated within the first minute of her entering the room as my daughter sat on the table crinkling paper, like most babies would do). I was appalled by this judgement and was able to see my former pediatrician in another state, who denied the judgement of autism right away. Dr Blake should stick to IM and not advertise herself as a pediatrician as she lacks tact, knowledge and understanding of Pediatrics.

I received medical care from Alice Black for at least 15 years. I always had difficulty contacting the office to make appts, but liked Alice so continued. When I retired, I realized that Alice reacts to symptoms but does not partner in my health to ensure I am having needed testing or evaluations. I moved to another Dr specifically because I wanted a Dr who would partner in maintaining my health not just react to complaints I might develop.

Dr. Blake is brilliant, compassionate and truly gifted at diagnosing medical problems.

Very disappointed with this office and its treatment of patients. It was it incredibly difficult to get in touch with a receptionist (no voicemail available, rarely answer phone). You can spend a couple of days trying to get assistance. More importantly, if you have to cancel an appointment due to being very ill, they terminate your patient status. I found this office elitist and much more interested in keeping people at bay than actually helping them. Never had such an experience with a doctor's office before. I am not speaking of the doctor, but of the office "attitude" as a whole.
