Dr. Alice Jackson Krull, MD

Alice Krull is a sadist. When I told her the medication she had prescribed was causing me to gain weight she chuckled. I saw her again a few months later and 58 lbs heavier, she put me back on the same medication. I recently found out that the medication also causes hair loss which explains the excessive hair loss I experienced after taking the aforementioned medication. After leaving her care, my regular psychiatrist was appalled by her behavior and treatment plan. While on the medication that causes weight gain I developed a food addiction that lasted long after I stopped taking the medication. When I saw her a year ago I weighed 137 lbs and my highest weight ever was 163 lbs. The second time I went into her care I was 195 lbs and had just started losing weight, at that time my highest was 205 lbs. After leaving her care about five months ago I gained another 40 lbs. I have recently started losing weight to the tune of 20 lbs. I now weigh 225 lbs. I have a family history of diabetes… that Alice Krull was well aware of. My mother suffers from Munchausen Syndrome by proxy and is enabled by my father. Alice Krull was not fazed by this at all and in fact demanded to talk to my parents before allowing me to leave her care. I have no history of violence or suicidal behavior. I am in the process of reporting her to the medical board of California. I do not believe Alice Krull is qualified to practice medicine here or anywhere else. My assertion at the beginning of this comment—Alice Krull is a sadist—was not said lightly. I would recommend avoiding Alice Krull if you are privileged enough to do so.

Every time I went to visit her office I expected a 30 minute MINIMUM delay, she is personable and tried to make a connection but I was mis-diagnosed and mis- medicated by her (found out after seeing 3 more psychiatrists). For 2 years I was taking bi-polar medication for my depression sending me in fits of anger, rage, depression and confusion. Terrible psychiatrist. I do NOT recommend.

Almost impossible to get a response to set an appointment or medication refills.

She charged me for an office visit that was never schested with me, and when she had a family emergency, did not have her office call to notify me, that she would not be there. She also did not follow up to reschedule after the 3 day emergency. I no longer see her and would not recommend her to anyone.

This doctor cares enough to give her best recommendations. I followed her advice and got better.
