Dr. Alice Lim, MD

Everyone in the office was nice but the doctor is dressed in a hazmat plastic suit with shield and trying to play with my son while she won’t let him come near her. That was weird. My son needs speech but I think he was too scared to talk to his doctor and she is very hard to understand. I don’t get why the doctor is dressed for surgery but the family is screened for fever and illness at the door and before the appointment day. None of the other doctors are wearing plastic. Dr. Lim is the developmental doctor and acts like she knows your child better than you but she won’t listen and spends a few minutes with toys that are old and dirty and thinks she knows everything. I went to another Kaiser instead.

This doctor is only interested in money. I would never ever go to her or recommend her to anyone. Bad temper, bad attidute, unprofessional and do not listen to anyone.

My child was already diagnosed by the regional center with autism. Kaiser would not accept it. Dr. Lim was rude, would cut me and my husband off when talking. She was stuck on ADHA and wanted my 4 year old to take pills, before even giving him ABA therapy or anything to help him. When I brought up all his sensory issues see said everyone has them. So in her mind from how she was talking people don't have autism because everyone has sensory issues. When I said about my sons sensory earring issues, she risky interrupted saying oh my husband is a picky eater. She's paid to diagnose the cheapest way and easiest way by throughout ADHA and pills at the kids. Do not waste your time.

Dr. Lim was nothing but rude, when I told her a psychologist already gave a diagnosis, she got very upset and defensive, said the psych should not have done that, but as a patient, I don't need to know or deal with that level of drama. And then whenever I tried to say "well the psych said this, what is your opinion" as soon as I said psych, she would cut me off to tell me she shouldn't have given a diagnosis. I got so upset at one point, I had to tell her, would you let me finish, I just want to get your opinion. And after meeting with my son and I for 30 min. she was ready to give a diagnosis of ADHD and prescribe medication which I think was way too premature. She didn't even care to ask if my son had improved in his last school, which he did, it just took him a year, but seeing that he was able to improve without medication leads me to believe his problems at his new school are environmental and not something medicine will solve. Really disgusted with this doctor and think she… was rude, unprofessional and just wrong.

Dr. Lim is the absolute best and has my son's best interest at hard 200% of the time, always! She is so caring in all of her ways. Very informative and understanding in a way where you feel comforted without even explaining your thoughts to her. She specialize in children with special needs and is there for you and always has resources for you and your child. If you do have to wait for your appt. it is only because she is very complete with her patients. And her staff is also very caring and patient. My son is very high functioning with Autism and ADHD. I have taken my son to many doctors and have never felt the caring spirit of a doctor the way I do with this doctor. She is human and treats you and your child as the same. I am very thankful I have found her for my son. I'm not sure where my son would be or I without her!!
