Dr. Alice Taylor Mcduffee, MD

Our first baby had reflux and laryngomalacia. As a parent, I read just about anything I could get my hands on and fully understood that the decision to treat reflux is fraught and not necessarily straight forward. Though it feels like a distant hazy memory now, I also know that I was sleep deprived and desperate when we were assigned a sick visit with Dr. McDuffee while trying to sort everything out with our baby (who screamed constantly, made very strange spasm like noises, and everything else you read about colicky babies). Dr. McDuffee dismissed all of our concerns, and summed the whole visit up with "babies cry". I'm somewhat sympathetic to the compulsion to give that advice to new mothers, and I know that's probably all we needed to hear that day (I can't remember for sure, but I believe at this point we already had a visit with the ENT scheduled... it was just still several weeks away at this point). However, the delivery wasn't great and to this day Dr. McDuffee is the only… pediatrician we avoid during sick visits. There are so many other great doctors at Cornerstone that this has never been an issue.

My son had a rash on a holiday weekend. Dr. McDuffee was on call and returned my phone call promptly and went above and beyond to help my son and ease my concerns. Highly, highly recommended!

My family loves Dr McDuffee. You can tell when a pediatrician is also a good parent. She is caring and practical in her recommendations for raising children. She doesn't just look for boo-boos, she also cares about their emotional and spiritual growth which is so important to us.
