I must specify.... i have ethnic skin.I have severe acne and scars than got worse due to stress and use of some over the counter cosmetic products. I got a free 1 hour consultation with Dr Pien and co. They were honest to let me know that i will have a systematic approach to my treatment.They didn't want to jump to laser first and so i was prescribed topical creams and oral meds to treat active acne lesions first.After which other treatment modalities will follow. They were so kind to call the pharmacy to give me a discount on the meds since my insurance didn't cover one.....Who on earth does that!! you can not beat this team of care givers they are absolutely amazing. My consultation experience was very reassuring as i had other little things i needed treatment for ...like some scars on my right deltoid… area and a mole around my elbow area. I had a test laser done on me same day ....to see if i will develop hypertrophy.She got the mole taken care of and i was flattened instantly.So far test patch is doing great no hypertrophy. My active acne lesions are drying up each day and i am very compliant with the meds as prescribed.I go for my next appointment in 2 weeks and i am very excited to experience the next step in my treatment.
