Dr. Alicia Jean Jones, MD

SHE WAS HORRIBLE AND MY BABY PASSED AWAY DO TO HER NEGLECT. BE CAREFUL WITH THE RATINGS ARE NOT TRUE. Follow your intuition and don’t go with her. She is careless towards minorities and will ignore your concerns. My baby passed away do to her negligence and I almost passed away as well.

She is careless and doesn’t answer your questions. Her treatments are horrible and doesn’t include you on the decision when it comes to the types of treatments. Report her to dopl if negligent.

She is a careless Dr. and not concerned about your care. Not knowledgeable and all of her poor rating are deleted. She is currently being investigated.

After reaching out multiple times to Dr. Jones to beg for help with post partum depression (I do not have a primary care GP & her office has been my primary doctor for 10 years), she let her nurse relay a phone message to me that she is no longer willing to see or help me, although I've been going to her office for 10 years! Every medication I've been on for the last 10 years were prescribed in her office so be turned away like my mental health didn't matter, in my most desperate time of need, has really changed my view of her. My entire pregnancy she helped me understand that not only did baby matter but I mattered too, and so did my mental health but when things got rough, she dismissed me and let her nurse give me the general 800# to VBH. It took me 3 months to fully become a patient of VBH so to be dismissed like that as a first time mother, with post partum depression, has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. If I decide to have more children, she will not be delivering… the baby.

Alicia Jones has been the best OB I have ever had. . She has been extremely caring of me during pregnancy. She is quick to answer all questions and I feel like she is truly an expert in her field. Her front desk staff are very professional and the facility is nice. I highly recommend her.

I have been going to Dr. Jones since I was a teenager. She is completely patient-centric. When you are in her office, she makes you feel as if you're the only patient she has to see and takes time to answer all of your questions. I just had my first baby and was overwhelmed by the quality of care I received. We ran into a couple problems and Dr. Jones came into the delivery room, took charge and got the baby out safely. Would recommend to anyone needing a compassionate, very experienced, down to earth, and assertive doctor.

My first pregnancy I saw dr. Jones. Initially my husband and I loved her. Thought she was a perfect fit. Slowly things got confusing. Tests that weren't explained (partially my fault for not asking more questions, but I didn't know the questions to be asked) miscommunication happened a lot. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, diet alone wasn't enough I had to go on medication. She kept telling me how big my baby was at almost every visit, which terrified me. even sent me to a specialist eventually. Who informed me my baby was not "HUGE" he was perfectly proportionate and I have nothing to worry about, and was confused as to why my dr had sent me to see him. He told me my gestational numbers were even vary minimal. Which dr. Jones told me she likes to air on the side of caution. Sometime in my second trimester blood pressure started to worry her, i monitored it at home and my numbers were always great, but whenever I went in for a visit it was high. She just had me continue… monitoring at home since my numbers were fine. When I was 34 weeks I went into false labor twice. Had to go in and get injections to stop the contractions. They also decided to give me the injections to help my baby's lungs developed quicker. At 36 weeks they decided to put me on blood pressure medication. I literally took one pill and the very next day my water broke. My water broke at 1:30 in the afternoon. I didn't deliver my son until 4:30 am the next morning. My doctor was there up until maybe 10pm that night. She came in since I was not in hard labor yet and said she was going to go home and get a little sleep and the nurses would call her when baby was ready.. my mom was so shocked and said " your leaving?" " your going to be here right?" To which dr. Jones replied " well yea,where else would I be?" I was dilated to a 7 at that time. So my mom was very irritated (she is a lactation specialist and knows a little about deliveries, plus being with all 3 of my sisters deliveries). Well I started pushing baby out around 4am. Everything was going great, besides the fact that my dr. Wasn't there. The nursing staff could not reach her. At one point the power went out in the room and it was chaos. Nurses flooding into my room and flipping me over, no one's explaining anything until my mom yelled and said you need to explain to her what is going on. To which one nurse responded saying we don't have baby's heart rate because the machine power went out, like most o the stuff in the room. We need to stick this probe like thing onto baby's head to get his heart rate. So they did that then they told me I had to stop pushing. That was awful and so painful. My dr. Walked in after 20 minutes of me fighting my body from pushing. Worst pain I have ever felt. She says are you ready for baby. In my mind I'm like we'll yea I have been ready, where have you been. We pushed 2 times first head came out, then both shoulders at the same time. Needless to say I was a level 3 tear. And I felt everything because I completely forgot to push the button for the epideral. I felt her suture me, she said she couldn't stop I was bleeding too much. Tried giving me an injection to help with the pain. It didnt. I honestly could move both legs easily. And I definitly could have walked if they would have let me. This was the worst experience. My son got really sick as well. First he was very jaundice, which was kinda a blessing in diguise because a day or two of us staying in the hospital for him being treated he then got diagnosed with pneumonia. I thought my baby was going to die. It was terrible. I got no comfort from anyone, which I guess I understand they can't necessarily say it's okay everything will be fine, because they don't know. We were in the hospital for 12 days. we ran into our dr. A few times, maybe 5. She awknoledged us 2 of those times. Once when we were walking to the nicu to feed our baby. She was confused as to why we were still there. I was surprised she wasn't aware of when her patients were discharged. Then the next day I was well enough to be discharged. We ran into her and she said I was just about to come discharge you, she said she would meet us back in my room.. she never showed up. One of the nurses waited with us and then finally just went through with discharging me on her own. We stayed in what they called hotel status, since our son was not able to leave yet. I don't know how much of this is dr. Jones fault or how much of it is hospital lack of communication. I just know it was a terrible experience and I will not refer her to anyone or be going back. I am pregnant with my second child now and am terrified that the delivery is going to be the same as my first. I have had so many nightmares. I just pray everything goes well

I love Dr.Alicia Jones my baby is just over 1 year old but she was great during my entire pregnancy she always took the time to make sure my husband and I understood everything and remembered my other child's name! I loved delivery day and couldn't have asked for a better doctor she didn't push me into anything I didn't want and even came and visited me the following day! Can't wait for her to deliver my future babes
