Summary

Alicia Schollmeyer, MSN, FNP-C, AOCNP, is the program director of Willis Knighton Genetics. As a nurse practitioner who specializes in genetics, she provides comprehensive genetic risk assessment, education, testing coordination, results interpretation and individualized care planning for high-risk people groups as well as adults and children with known or suspected hereditary conditions.

Her interest in genetics is deeply personal. As the daughter of a three-time breast cancer survivor and the mother of a child with a genetic condition, she understands the uncertainty families may experience while searching for answers. She is committed to providing care grounded in knowledge, compassion and partnership so patients and families can better understand their health, make informed decisions and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Her clinical areas of focus include hereditary cancer syndromes, connective tissue disorders such as Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and related conditions, hereditary cardiovascular and aortic disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions, rare genetic diseases and pharmacogenomics. She also coordinates multidisciplinary care for patients with complex, multisystem conditions and works closely with specialists to translate genetic findings into practical recommendations for surveillance, treatment and family testing.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and a Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Texas at Tyler. She is certified as a family nurse practitioner and an advanced oncology certified nurse practitioner and has completed advanced oncology and cancer genetics training through City of Hope.

Outside of her clinical work, Schollmeyer serves as an international missionary, helping provide care and support to individuals and families in need in Zambia, Africa. Her mission work reflects her commitment to service, compassion and improving the lives of others both locally and globally.
