Dr. Alicia Montanez, MD

Dr. Montanez urged me as a 24 year old male to move forward with an ablation procedure in order to treat SVT. I was young and very active playing sports at the time. During the procedure, Dr. Montanez inexplicably damaged my crucial AV node. Two days ago I had a permanent pacemaker implanted that my heart is now 100% reliant on due to the damage from that day. I am now 30 years old grappling with the realizations that not only has my life changed forever, but that years have been potentially taken off of my life. Dr. Montanez is a great and amazing doctor. She did a cardiac ablation. It was explained and was painless. She knows how to treat a heart that doesn't beat right. She knows her stuff.

Dr. Montanez is the most amazing doctor. She is very professional, great at explaining, in terms you can understand, what your diagnosis is and treatment options. She has literally saved my life to many times to count. If you have anyone in need of a cardiac ep doctor there is none better.

In October, 2012, Dr. Montanez was sure of her diagnosis of my problem and corrected it! I felt confident with her the minute we started talking. I never felt rushed and she was thorough and clear in her explanations. Her staff was courteous, friendly and efficient. I would recommend her "in a heartbeat."

I was having V Tachs and while others wanted me to wear a pacemaker, she said she could correct the issue and she did and now I still 3 years later have a sinus rhythm.

Excellent doctor. Very patient and willing to take the time to answer questions. Great bedside manner. Very knowledgeable. She was even willing to refer to a different electro p when she determined she could not treat my condition. I think this speaks to her expertise and courteous bedside manner. I definitely felt like her care and treatment was about me as a patient, not a doctor on an ego trip.
