I was warned by other parents but switched to her to avoid driving to Boston from NY. She clearly did not care what happened to our son regarding his health. First review of a doctor

She was my pediatric endocrinologist, and it was always great seeing her. Her wait times are...long. But very worth it! She was even willing to see me one last time when I returned from college because she had been seeing me for such a long time. I always went with my mom, whose primary language is Spanish and she always went out of her way to make sure my mom comprehended the whole appointment and answered all of my mom's questions (and there were many). Her patience and ability to motivate are amazing!

You f*cking suck. Worst doctor ever

Dr. Romano's wait times and appointment availability are due to the facts that 1) she is referred only the most complex cases in her field of specialty, because she is one of the most competent physicians in the entire NY metro area. Since she treats extremely complex cases, they require MUCH more time and her patient's needs vary GREATLY from case to case, and 2) she is the rare doctor who takes AS MUCH TIME AS HER PATIENT'S REQUIRE in order to be effectively diagnosed, treated and cared for. With regard to compensation, surprise... but Dr. Romano does NOT benefit financially by seeing more patients, so your sarcastic comment in connection with money is simply wrong. As far as evening and holiday hours, Dr. Romano is a professional, she is not an indentured servant. If you recognize the value in the care she provides your CHILDREN, then you'll find a way to manage your time to her availability. If you don't, then you're free to obtain lesser care somewhere else. It is not her… obligation to work 80+ hours a week in order to suit your precious schedule.

My daughter loves her. We've been coming here almost 7 years now. Dr. Romano is wonderful.

The reviews I see here complaining about the wait times are so upsetting to me. My daughter has a rare endocrine disorder that NO Drs could figure out. Dr romano not only got us answers, she did so I’m the most kind and compassionate way. We did wait a while to get into the office with her but she was nothing short of amazing. She took her time, she answered every single question we had (and we had a TON) she not once made us feel rushed or bad about our anxiety. Amazing . You wait because she does this w someone else’s sick child.

I love her! She really cares about getting to know her patients.

Dr. Romano and her staff advocate for patients with insurance companies.

-Extremely long wait (over 1 hour 45 minutes).-Impossible to get an appointment unless you pull your child out of school (no Saturday hours). Dr. Romano also doesn't work on school vacation breaks or holidays. She only works after school one day a month until 6:00....but BE PREPARED TO WAIT AS LONG AS I DID! It seems to me that the doctor is more interested in being home with her own children than making sure her patients aren't inconvenienced.-Appointments are booked every 15 minutes however patients are in with the doctor for 20-30 minutes. Seems to me she overbooks to get more money knowing she can get away with it because this is the only Pediatric Endocrinologist group in Westchester County.-It amazes me that so many people tolerate the wait and don't complain. She is a doctor not GOD and nobody should have to wait around as long as we did. (there were 3 other people waiting along with me in the waiting room) and they must have been afraid to say anything. Someone in front of me… was waiting over 2 hours and was starving because she hadn't eaten.

You wait months on end to get an appointment. You wait hours to be seen by the doctor once you are there. She spend barely any time with the patient. She expects you to go through this every 3 months or she will not renew your prescription. Is this a caring doctor or a doctor that just wants to be sure she gets her billing in. There has gotta be someone else!
