If there were mi us zero stars, believe me, I'd leave it. She treated my late husband when he had Cancer. It took her two weeks to return my call and when she finally did. She yelled at me on the phone by yelling, do you know how sick your husband is? When I said yes, she yelled, it's fatal and when I wanted to talk to her further, she said, I have things to do and she hung up. I was devastated! I also heard from two other Dr's. One said to him, don't give him the drug, he's going to die anyway and the other said, the drug can't be put in liquid form, when I found out later the hospital pharmacy was able to. Get as far away from as possible!

I mentioned to my Cardiologist that I was thinking of changing Primary Care doctors. He immediately told me to see Dr. Skarimbas without giving it a second thought. After I saw her the first time and had my annual physical I got the sense that she is a really remarkable doctor, regardless of specialty. The next time I saw my Cardiologist I thanked him and he told me that after working with her as a colleague and sharing patients with her at the nursing home for several years, he asked his parents to switch to her.

I would recommend Dr. Skarimbas to anyone that values intelligence and empathy and wants a professional manner in their doctor, but still someone you feel you can confide in. My best friend found her online after reading reviews. After a couple visits she switched her parents to Dr. Skarimbas and recommended her to me. My experience has been similar. I simply can't imagine a better doctor, she has it all. Credentials, education, experience and is genuinely friendly in a professional way. No doctor in this health care system can spend 45 minutes with you, but in the 10 minutes I usually spend with her one to one, I get what I need every time. My medical needs are a little complex but she handles them effectively and actually remembers what happened the last time we met. Pretty impressive for a doctor that probably see's over 20 patients every day of her life.

I think the negative reviews of Dr. Skarimbas reflect poorly on the reviewers more than on her care and skill as a clinician. She treats every member of my family from my teenage kids to my elderly parents and has NEVER been anything but intelligent, astute and attentive. I suppose if I showed up wanting a prescription for OxyContin she might be abrupt...but that's the only way I can imagine anything other than a great experience with her.
