Dr. Alim Mirza Ladha, MD

I had 2 slipped disks with the lower one pinning my sciatic nerve against my left side causing me to be paralyzed down the left side from my hip to my foot. After scouring through many reviews on the internet trying to find a good neurosurgeon, “especially after I heard nothing but horror stories from others who have had back surgery” I chose Dr. Ladha. I never leave reviews but after reading of all the complaints on the staff and a few on Dr. Ladha himself, I’ve felt the need to share my experience. First it might behoove someone to remember that the people who work there are also people too. Meaning a good attitude, respect and good personal hygiene are a must and go a long way when visiting a doctor’s office. Also, remember to tell them Thank You! They are they to help you and do a very good job of it! Sharon was wonderful. She knows if and when you’re in pain and doing all that she can to help you to get you in to see Dr. Ladha, so be respectful. Also, Dr. Ladha is a very busy… doctor with all the areas he has to cover and there are times when an accident or emergency arises when he has to go to a hospital instead of his office. Think to yourself, should the emergency come first or you? Even if I was able to hobble into his office, no matter how I feel, I would rather the person in the hospital ER be taken care of first instead of me. Stacy took care of me and was there for me the entire time with what to know and when/where to go for my surgery, getting checked into the hospital, and follow ups. Her experience with what she does really shines and I could tell she more than knows what she is doing. I always showed up on time and answered my phone when they called to confirm appointments, if I didn’t answer I called them back the first chance I got and not days later. Dr. Ladha always answered all of my questions and I feel like not only did he care about me but he truly cares about everyone he sees, the same goes for his staff also. I did exactly as they had instructed me to do in regards to taking care of myself after the surgery with what to do and what NOT to do. I’m 38 years old and now feel better than I ever have thanks to Dr. Ladha and his team. I would recommend Dr. Ladha for any neurosurgical issue.

Excellent doctor.

I waited 2 hours to see Dr Ladha. He spoke to me for 10 mins, determined I didn't need help, then told me to come back when I got worse. The next week I went to a doctor in Lubbock. I have 3 herniated disc. I guess if you are not in tears or using a cane, you cannot be in enough pain to need treatment.

Longer than normal wait time but staff kept the waiting room informed - he was in call for the hospitals and taking care of emergencies as well - once in the room with him you felt as though you were his only patient - definitely worth the wait
