Thanks for keeping my dental in good shape!

I am a senior with Medicare HMO's extra benefit of 2 cleanings, 1 x-ray and dr. exams yearly. When I told her I could not afford extra cleanings, instead of sympathizing and offering options, she took it as a personal affront. Very high-strung and sarcastic. Next visit was x-rays. Her check-up consisted of "Put your teeth together." I did. She said, "You have a bite" and walked out. No discussion. I figured that meant the x-rays were good. One year later she is gone to Maryland (I am in NYC) and the x-rays show a large cavity on my bottom left molar so far invasive I have to have root canal, a crown and probably lose the tooth- the quote is $2,300. Go back to previous x-rays and there it is, a VERY VISIBLE medium size cavity which if taken care of then would have been $125 and I would have my tooth okay. If she had even looked at the xrays, this woman is incompetent. If not, and I believe she did not look at them, Dr. Alina Gurfinkel is a vindictive, malicious hack. I… clicked one star for satisfaction because I wanted something to register for other people to see. Zero is too good.
