Dr. Alina Urman, MD

As my husband calls her the "Miracle Doctor". His primary doctor, who we will not go to anymore after 25 years, had him on a blood pressure medicine and water pill this year which slowly but surely was giving him a rash and swelling of the ankles and recently a full blown rash all over his body and itching that was driving him crazy. He finally changed the medication two weeks ago and it made it even worse. We went to Dr. Urman and she gave him a steroid shot which stopped the itching by the evening. She took the time and researched all the medication he was taking and said that it wasn't a food allergy but the pills he was on was definitely the culprit. She also prescribed Methylprednisolone which has already made a difference. Dr. Urman insisted that we see a dermatologist and a cardiologist. We are seeing the dermatologist on Monday and already saw the cardiologist. He said that the pills he was on all had sulfa which we never knew and if his primary had looked into it like… Dr. Urman did we would have known he had an allergy to it. Instead he kept trying a new medicine which continued to have sulfa in it. Dr. Urman even took the time from her busy schedule this morning to call and see how my husband was doing. Something his primary never did. We actually were hoping that we could use her as our primary but because of insurance reasons they are now able to be primary doctors. The new Cardiologist will be our primary doctor now but for sure we will always go to Dr. Urman for any other reason. She is the best and I highly recommend her. I also need to mention that her office staff is exceptional. I wish I was able to give her and her staff more than five stars. Thank you so much. Alice R.

I came to see Dr Urman with fever, cough, and congested chest. She ordered chest X-ray, examined me and diagnosed me with pneumonia. She gave me a nebulizer to use right in the office to relieve my congestion, prescribed the antibiotics as well as additional aids for my cough. Most importantly, she has a lot of empathy, and she is extremely professional. She has asked me to come back for a checkup in three days and I had another extremely positive experience. I highly recommend Dr Urman to anyone who is looking for high quality medical care.

I saw Dr. Urman at a urgent care clinic for a cold and clogged Eustachian tube that was causing me a lot of grief. I'm normally a very calm person but when I can't breath, swallow or hear I become a bit of a wreck. Dr. Urman helped me deal with the situation by listening to my issues. Not just listening for certain keywords that trigger certain responses like some people and doctors do if that makes sense. She confirmed the OTC medication I was already taking and prescribed a couple more medicines to keep me more comfortable as the congestion and infection clears and I finally started getting some better sleep.
