Dr. Aline Azar, MD

I'm very thankful to have had Dr. Azar as my care provider. She was competent, caring and thoughtful. Dr Azar's infectious personality and positive energy was very reassuring during an unexpected and difficult medical diagnosis. She took the time to know my medical history, and thoroughly explained test results and imaging. Dr Azar has a wonderful bedside manner. 372 / 8000

Dr. Azar is nothing but a terrible doctor! She is rude and her bed side manor is awful! Pushing me into thing I’m not comfortable with.. she has not morals and clearly only care about the pay check. Not to mention she is a liar! She’ll tell you one thing and change her story in the blink of an eye. I highly recommend changing doctors if she is appointed to you!

I got a referral from my primary to see Dr. Doughty. When I got the paper work from Metro's office, it said I was scheduled to see Dr. Azar. When I called to ask about this, I was told that Dr. Azar was a partner of Doughty's so I agreed to see her. I drove 2.5 hours for the appointment and was told by the receptionist that "someone" had called to cancel my appointment a few weeks before. After some fuss, Dr. Azar agreed to see me but was not prepared. She had another patient waiting so the whole thing was rushed. She started off the meeting by telling me that she was leaving on maternity leave the next week and might not be returning. She stated that she didn't believe I had an active infection but was going to recommend that my pcp order some specific tests which we discussed. I called the next day and asked the receptionist to fax my doctor the information and also to fax a copy to me. I was devastated. Dr. Azar straight up lied to me about everything. She was not leaving on… maternity for another 2 months and Dr. Doughty had retired! She did not recommend the tests she told me she would. When I questioned the receptionist about this mess, I was told that Dr. Azar was not accepting new patients anyway. Not only did I not get help with my medical condition, I also was made to feel sub-human and not worth the time of day. Thanks, Dr. Azar. You're off to a great start in the infectious disease field.

Dr. Azar may be one of the finest physicians I have ever had. Her skill, diligence, and professionalism are all superb. Dr. Azar went above and beyond her call of duty to intercede on my behalf to another physician. Her willingness to do so may have spared me a great deal of trouble. My highest recommendation to her.
