Dr. Alisa Violet Holland, MD

I have multiple health issues including FTD which is a fatal disease.Dr Holland sees me every 10 days to coordinate and update my medical issues. She has been on top of my medical issues and multiple physicians, Dr Holland is very helpful in keeping my health on the positive side of the ledger.

ALWAYS KEPT WAITING FOR HER 1 1/2 HOURS TO 2 HOURS ONLY SPENT 14-20 MIN WHEN CAMS IN ROOM ALSWAY ACTED LIKE ONE FOOT WAS OUT THE DOOR. NOT A COMPASSIONATE PROVIDER -SHE CHANGE A PHYSICAL APPOINTMENT INTO A OFFICE VISIT WHEN DISCOVERED LT SIDE SCALP AND FACE COVERED IN SHINGLES I GOT CONFUSED I AM 67 MISSED THE RESCHEDULED APPOINTMENT ASK HER FOR A ONE TIME COURTESY WAVIER ON THE $ 50.00 FEE SHE CHAGRED ME FOR MISSING THE APPOINTMENT! NO COMPASSION!! WHEN I DID HAVE ANNUAL WOMENS HEALTH PHYSICAL SHE WAS IN THE ROOM APPROX 20 MINS BILLED INSURANCEFOR 1 HOUR TIME VISIT. I HAD REVEALED NO PAP NP PELVIC IN 15 YEARS SHE PREFERRED PAP NO PELVIC CHARTED NORMAL WHEN SHE HAS NO IDEA IF MY UTERUS WAS ENLARGED-HAD FIBROIDS-A MASS IN MY ADENXA--SHE NEVER OFFERED TO PAY ME FOR MY TIME AND TOTAL DISRESPECTED MY TIME AND ME THAN WAS GREEDY AND UNFORGIVING NOT A GOOD PROVIDER!!!!

I had a great first visit (and subsequent follow-up for test reviews). Unfortunately, I became sick on two occasions since my 1st visit and was not able to get a timely appointment to be seen. Without going into detail, it was clear that the staff was not sharing the urgency or details of the need for the visits with the doctor which resulted in going to walk-in clinics for care despite having Dr. Holland as my primary or my great insurance.

When my elderly mother moved to Tampa, we had done a lot of research and Dr Holland was highly recommended. We had all of her health records transferred and looked forward to working with her. I won't go into great detail, but I had the same experience as Jane with openly rude and hostile front desk staff, unbelievably long wait times and being put on hold for 16, 25 and even 30 minutes (I decided to just see how long they would leave me on hold, and I finally gave up after 30 minutes)! You have to follow up yourself on test results, and if they remember to phone in a prescription, it's usually on Friday 5 minutes before the office closes and you and the pharmacist have to try to figure out whether the new antibiotic is in addition to or in place of the old one. We have been bounced from doctor to PA to doctor and nobody seems to know what the other is doing. I have also been hung up on, ignored and treated with utter contempt almost every time we have gone into the office. We… are done! It's a shame because Dr. Holland seemed very competent, but her support is incompetent or nonexistent most of the time.

Dr. Holland was fantastic, and the office is in a convenient location. But her staff is awful. I arrived to my appointment 10 minutes early and I was one of the first appointments of the day. The receptionist didn't look up at me when I walked to the desk. After I stood there for a minute or two she didn't say, "Hi, what's your name?" or "How may I help you?" She said, with an exasperated look, "Are you a new patient also?" Then I filled out paperwork that was poorly photocopiedâ??it was crooked and cut off. I waited 40 minutes to see the doctor. After Dr. Holland left the room, it took 20 minutes for someone to come take my blood. I actually walked into the hallway and asked what was going on because I thought they forgot about me. Three different people walked in and out and then finally someone took my blood. Then someone came rushing in because the front desk had forgotten to return my insurance card. It took nearly 2 hours all together to have a routine physical. I was supposed to… get a call with my blood test results within one week. I didn't. So I called and was put on hold for 20 minutes (with no apology), only to be told that they weren't ready yet. I got a call back the following week that I missed. When I called back, I was put on hold for 16 minutes. I finally got my results and I asked why I was put on hold for 16 minutes. The woman, Sylvia, was unapologetic and said she had to draw blood. I asked why she didn't offer to call me back later and she hung up on me. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect to be treated with kindness and respect when you go to a doctor's office. I can put up with a mistake or two if the staff is at least nice about it. But this staff is incompetent and rude. It's a disorganized mess, and it's a shame, because Dr. Holland is wonderful. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to find a new doctor.

Dr. Holland is a caring & smart Doctor. She listens and answers your questions. Finds the diagnosis to your problem. Also, if she cannot help, she sends you to a specialist who can. Five star Doctor!

She really cares and has made positive changes in my health care. Wish I could say that about my insurance
