Very kind and great bedside manners

I was recommended to this doctor by my general pract. last year for a condition that she specializes in. Little did I know after numerous test and nothing really to speak of coming from them, I get a letter from a medical collection company coming after me for a bill that was for a procedure that she had preformed on me that was not covered by my insurance ,but made me feel that it was needed. I felt that the procedure done really had nothing to do with what I went in to see her to begin with, but I am not a doctor so what do I know. I could have at least been told about it not being covered by my PPO, and I could have refused it. I was unaware that the bill was even outstanding receiving nothing in the mail saying that I even owed them anything until the collection letter.
