Dr. Alisha Lakhani, MD

She seemed distracted by her smart watch which may have contributed to inaccurate after visit notes, some of which was copy paste from my message. She spoke down to me yet apparently didn't know some of the terms I used during the visit. I also felt like she had drawn conclusions before we even met and had some well-rehearsed speech. She spent 10 minutes with me (generous, was probably closer to 5) and abruptly ended the visit and walked out of room not making it clear if the visit was over. Her treatment plan was essentially: Call us up when you can't use your hands.

Dr. Lakhani patiently answered my questions, provided reassurance, and conducted the appropriate follow up inquiries for my symptoms. I would recommend her as a provider without hesitation.

She is absolutely the worst. The first doctor I have gone to who was actually distracted by their phone during the appointment and left to call someone halfway through the appointment! Her default treatment plan was basically to pump me with immunosuppressants without looking at my specific case. It left me depressed for months. The best part of the appointment was that she was so obviously bad that I sought a second opinion from MGH. While there was a wait, MGH rheumatologists confirmed I do not need life-altering immunosuppressants.
