I lead Northwell Health's Comprehensive Wound Healing Center and Hyperbarics, where we provide advanced, interdisciplinary care for complex wounds. Our center offers on-site hyperbaric oxygen therapy and a dedicated vascular lab for timely diagnostics and targeted interventions. Our team includes general and vascular surgeons, podiatric surgeons, advanced practice providers, specialized wound nurses, and experienced support staff working together to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.I am committed to making care accessible, equitable, and understandable. My office staff helps patients and families navigate the complexities of today's health care system, and I always strive to explain medical problems in clear, practical terms.Most treatments can be performed in the office; others are offered at my affiliated hospitals, North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center. My team collaborates closely with vascular medicine, endocrinology, infectious …disease, podiatry, physical therapy, nutrition, and primary care to optimize healing and prevent complications. For eligible patients, we also provide access to cutting-edge clinical trials and innovative technologies through Northwell's research programs and the NIH/NIDDK Diabetic Foot Consortium bringing the latest evidence-based therapies to the bedside.Over the past decade at Northwell, I have led and participated in more than 90 clinical trials and helped build the system's first wound research repository. I chair the annual Northwell Interdisciplinary Wound Symposium and serve as Program Director for the first Wound and Burn Fellowship recognized as an NST-ACGME program, sponsored by the American Board of Wound Medicine and Surgery. Nationally, I serve in leadership roles in national organizations such as the Wound Care Collaborative Community (affiliated with the FDA), Society for Vascular Surgery, American College of Surgeons, American Venous Forum.My goal is simple: provide the best care possible to every patient, every time using a compassionate approach, clear communication, and the most advanced diagnostics and treatments available.
