Very upset about the doctors and team at Saint David’s South Austin. Both Saint David’s ER Dr.Alison Ewen and Dr.Jacob Glaser over charged me and abused the healthcare system to their advantage. I arrived to the hospital with a cut on my leg that didn’t require a stitch and it was labeled a gunshot wound. My insurance was billed over $42,000 in medical bills ranging from , lab chemistry, lab immunology, lab hematology, foot x-ray, chest x-ray, drug testing and level II trauma $42,433. I also received third party bills from the lab company, the radiologic chest examination by ARA diagnostic. To add insult to injury I also received third-party bills from Dr.Alison Ewen and Dr.Jacob Glaser and two ambulance bills.. I called an Uber to pick me up from the hospital 30 minutes after my arrival and I walked out on my own. I never received a stitch, a bandaid, an Advil, a prescription for antibiotics, or went for a follow up appointment (though I was billed for one) I explained the… situation to the hospital to no avail and never had the opportunity to work with a financial counselor. I feel taken advantage by a sick and elaborate healthcare scam. No hospital visit big or small should cost someone their livelihood and this is a prime example of our healthcare system being manipulated and borderline insurance fraud. Do yourself a favor and do not give these criminals an opportunity to sink their teeth in you.

Diagnosed correctly and recommended surgery. Had to send me to another hospital for specialist. She made sure I was not in pain in the ambulance on the way over. The doctors at St. David's 33rd Street did nothing as she directed. I was in pain and they contributed even more so. I had to locate a surgeon on my own who quickly did the surgery.
