Dr. Alison K Schlisman, MD

She is thorough, listens carefully, and knows her medications.

Dr. Alison Schlisman is a kind, positive, very intelligent physician. I'm a retired university professor with some complex medical issues (prostate cancer, pulmonary embolisms, asthma, chronic pain, etc). Dr. Schlisman always listens carefully and asks the right follow up questions. She stays on top of the latest research and medications. I've never had a better primary care physician.

Dr. Schlisman has cared for my aging parents for many years If there is anything to be said for getting older, it is that I will be old enough to graduate to Alison's care. I work with physicians -- some of the most professional and caring in the "business -- but none have come close to the professional yet warm demeanor of Dr. Schlisman. She is patient, thorough, gentle, compassionate. As a caregiver, I am endlessly grateful for her thoughfulness with me and her tender regard and respect for my parents. My father passed two years ago. My mother just turned 94 and we are surely lheaded into some difficult days. It is comforting to know that Dr. Schlisman will be with us through it all. .She is, without any hesitation or exception, the best.

I was looking for a geriatric doctor (I'll be 67) that is younger than I am (so will hopefully outlive me) and preferable female. Did I ever find the right one. I have only been once, but I was so impressed. I had a list and she went right to work getting me to the doctors I needed, x-rays, etc. I finally feel that I may have a more pain free life.

Our father has been under her care, for the past couple of years. One of her nurses even says that she is the best. Her bedside manner, her attention to detail, her obvious genuineness and concern, when we take him in, is exemplary, to say the least.
