Dr. Alison Hall Wright, MD

I was very disappointed at how unprofessional and rude the staff is at this office. I was excited to see Dr. Wright because being a healthcare provider myself, I know she is a great doctor, however I was in shock over how I was treated before even getting in to see her. I had to wait a month to get an appointment and because I never received a reminder, I called to verify the time and had the time mixed up. I spoke to one girl who said "we don't have appointments at 12, that's lunch time and then was directed to another girl. I apologized for getting the time mixed up but still had time to get there. I was told that they don't call and remind patients about their apt bc she has 60 patients a day and they don't have enough help for that. I was literally shocked! If you don't have time for new patients and don't have enough help, why are you accepting new patients? I take full responsibility in getting the time mixed up but was treated as if this is my only option and it is not.

I had a high risk pregnancy & did not want to rotate around the office seeing all of the doctors. Dr Wright agreed to allow me to see her exclusively and got me through my pregnancy with a healthy 10lb baby girl.

I have been going g to women's health care for about 9 up years. Recently in the last couple of years, they never pick up the phone at the north houston lake office and I tried calling twice while waiting for 5 minutes each time. When I was pregnant, I was treated better, but now just for a normal pap smear they make me wait in the waiting room for a half hour over my original scheduled appointment time.

I had to call several times to get an appointment. When I finally spoke to someone, she was very rude and not professional at all. When I get to the office for appointment, it was not a very welcoming atmosphere from the staff at all. I saw one of the nurse practitioners and her medical assistant was very rude and short more than one time. The NP was okay, but the staff has sealed the deal that I will not go back to that practice.

Great doctor, horrible office and billing staff. They are rude and inconsiderate, always speaking down to people. I would definitely like her as a regular doctor, unfortunately her staff will change most minds.

I called Dr. Wrights office to make my first appt. and I was shocked how rude the lady that answered the phone was, She was short and rude! I have no idea how good Dr. Wright is (I was looking forward to meeting with her. I did ALOT of research and was impressed with what I read) because I couldn't get past how rude the lady was over the phone making my appt. I just canceled. I called Dr. Shirley's office and got the professionalism I expected so I will be going there. I want a Doctor that is good WITH a good staff. It's who we see and talk to first.

Dr. Wright is very thorough and takes as much time with you as necessary. She assures that you understand the diagnosis and recommended procedures/treatment. I highly recommend her. In fact, she delivered my beautiful grandson!

Dr Wright is by far one of the best doctors I have ever went to! She is truly a very intelligent, smart, and caring physician. She has always by far exceeded my expectations! Awesome awesome doctor and staff!!!

Called to make an appmt because I was having pain, heavy bleeding, clots, nausea, etc. Took over a month to get an appmt. Had PAP, then recommended ultrasound, then follow-up from ultrasound. Found u-fibroids and cyst. Dr Wright went over all the different procedures. I focused in on the hysterectomy to just get rid of everything because of the pain instead of the less evasive options. But after further research I'm not sure if hysterectomy is the best option. Called and left mess that I just saw Dr Wright the day prior but could not remember all my options could she go over them with me again? The nurse told me I would have to make another appmt to meet with Dr Wright. The nurse refused to give me info over the phone. I feel had, they are not for the patient, but for making money on doctors visits. Can't you just read from my chart on the options or what are my rights as a patient I am asking myself now. I don't want to have to take more time off work and pay for an office… visit, when I know I already have to save for whatever procedure I need to get done. At this point I would rather go to another doctors office than to go back to this one. I'm stressed enough.

If you need medical care, leave Middle Georgia. My 12-year-old needs urgent surgical care, and although Dr. Wright came highly recommended, the office will do nothing to try to expedite and appointment. Two months out for a consult is ridiculous.
