Dr Alison Zambelli did my lasik procedure at TLC. She was so calm and patient with me. Walked me through every step of the procedure. I can see perfectly now and the procedure went so fast!! She was amazing!

I had an awful experience with this doctor and practice which has been consolidated with her father! And what is even more ridiculous is that they have all these very young women running around dressed in scrubs who were or now being trained in front of me. Suffice it to say right off the bat, Alison Zambelli didn’t remember which of my eyes had laser surgery done by Dr. Paul Rosenberg in Pittsburgh. And while I disclosed I had been diagnosed with a cataract in my right eye: and astigmatism, she just started to use high-pressure sales tactics to get me to commit to surgery like yesterday! I not only resented it: but I knew as a former professional technical sales representative that she was deliberately trying to manipulate me into decisions I was unwilling to make on the spot. I wanted at least one second opinion, and to do my own research into the efficacy of laser assisted cataract surgery: and the intraocular premiums lenses which I would have to pay for out of my own pocket. I… swear to xxx she was trying to train a totally neophyte young woman into how to present me with the charges: and their “financing “ which was another complete joke because the interest rate was so high, only patients with really bad credit histories and scores would have to use it. Alison Zambelli did a very poor job in trying to divorce herself from any financial discussions/decisions. Look, I was coming in to get a standard annual eye exam as per my doctors. Never have I been subjected to such coercion to date. Yes, I know I need the surgery in time..... but blank Alison was so preoccupied in selling me on the cataract operations ASAP: that she didn’t seem to do a basic as checking my eyes for signs of diabetic retinopathy. Yes, I put it on my written history. So yes, who wants and trusts a surgeon and a doctor who misremembers which eye I had the laser surgery by another ophthalmologist years ago. Can I even trust her to insert the correct IOL into the right eye. I am unwilling to take my chances with this practice. No thanks!!! They’re more motivated by potential fees-perhaps to pay for that expensive laser cataract machine. At least that’s what was identified as a risk by researchers for physicians investing in this fast evolving technology.
