Dr. Alistair Juel Kent, MD

Dr. Kent was great when my boyfriend came into the ER and ended up having to have emergency surgery. He was extremely thorough, explained everything regarding the issue, surgical procedures, risks, recovery, and steps needed moving forward. He took his time with us and didn’t rush through anything. In addition, he carefully listened to concerns my boyfriend had regarding his surgery and was able to accommodate them. I would recommend him to anyone! Moving forward, my boyfriend has to have an additional surgery and we wouldn’t want any other doctor than Dr. Kent to do it. We are both extremely confident that he is the best for the surgery and any issues that may occur in the future.

In my experience, he treated my husband as a total inconvenience rather than a critically ill patient.

This doctor deliberately delayed surgery on a relative of mine three times and caused my relative to get infections. I don't know what oath these physicians take if they still take an oath to do no harm however this was deliberate and uncalled for. On top of him deliberately delaying the surgery for no real reason, he injured my relative during the course of surgery "as a matter of factory" and unapologetically. Is this the new age of physicians being recruited at Hopkins now? Does Johns Hopkins, who claims number one, condone this form of deliberate behavior of their physicians? Is that what Johns Hopkins represents now that insurance payments and money is at the forefront of the organization and doctors like Kent can deliberately alter the course of treatment of patients to get as much out of the insurance as he could by prolonging dire and necessary procedures? Doctors like home need to reflect first on the oath they take to do no harm since you are in charge of lives.
