Dr. Aliya Usman Khan, MD

Excellent physician!

I was referred to her by my family doctor for possible Lupus because of my symptoms and positive ANA and RNP. She wasn't very personable and didn't explain why she was doing any of the things she was doing even after I asked her. She came in, sat down and said "how may I help you?", I smiled and said "Well, I was hoping you could tell me!", she condescendingly retorted with "you don't know why you're here?" She questioned my hair loss and said it didn't look thin *to her*, and I had to flatten my hair, squeeze it into a pony tail and explain how thick it used to be, it used to be 3 times as thick as it is now. She also said "who wears makeup to a doctors appointment?" She didn't make me feel validated or cared for, in fact I felt she was purposefully cruel and uncaring. This appointment was hard enough on its own, and this just made it so much worse. ??

Dr. Khan saved my life. I love and trust her.

I've seen Dr Khan 4 times a year for 15 years. I highly recommend her.

Poor bedside manner, doesn't answer questions, and doesn't explain anything.

Poor bedside manner, evasive answers, long call back times (if they call back at all), rushed, but short wait time and staff empathetic.

Dr. Khan is a brilliant, caring physician who tries to do her best for the patient. Even with the most difficult cases, she strives to find the best solution to help the patient. I trust her with my life... and would go nowhere else in this country for an immunologist.
