Dr. Shah is the most caring Dr. that I have found in quite some time. When she talks to you, you can feel her concern for you and your issues. Beside manners are rear these days. But when you are in her presences you just know all humanly possible will be done. Talk to a Dr. that cares... Dr. Alka Shah

Wonderful understand ing

This doc should quit her practice and treat her own nervous breakdown. Lacks knowledge and professionalism.

Horrid bedside manner. Overbooked, waited almost 2 hours past appointment time. Very unprofessional. There is an atmosphere of I'm a doctor, so I'm smarter and better than you. Will not go back and DO NOT reccommend.

After almost 15 previous doctors over a 10 year period, Dr Shah accurately diagnosed my illness within a couple of weeks and has been managing my spinal condition. She's very, very smart and knows her stuff. Although it's not a prerequisite these days for a doctor to personally "care" about his/her patients, she does...I would likely be cripple and unable to walk had I not found her...Thank God for the few great doctors like Dr Shah that are available to us average Americans...

Has very little knowledge of epilepsy. Her bedside manner was non-existent. She was rude at times. Blamed me for lack of progress with drug therapy. When I needed a prescription refilled she denied the script. Overall, some doctors don't have the emotional maturity or compassion to be a doctor and she was one of them.

It is also nice to know this doctor has been in this occupation for quite a while and knows she is doing. However, I believe that her experience in this field would have also brought some additional empathy and manners to the interactions with patients.
