Dr. Allan Scott Detweiler, DO

I have been going to South Shore Primary Care for 5 years. There is always a friendly staff - from the front desk to the doctors of course. I get all my questions answered and the wait time is ideal - 15-30 minutes at most, although I am able to get there during the morning hours.

Outstanding bed side manner Quick efficient and great office staff

This is a horrible office. Unprofessional. Rude. Disgusting. No regard for actual patients. Vanessa is very nasty to patients. 15 yrs wasted behind this Dr who doesn't care for his patients!

Carolyn the receptionist is very rude and has a sense of entitlement. Dr. Detweiler is never there and when is not a very good clinician. not up to date with current meds. Resident Frank is very pompous and also not a good clinician. The PA's are excellent!!

I went to have two small possible skin cancer marks removed from my back and I was left with two 2 1/2 inch long scars that look like I was attacked by a wild animal. I showed this to another doctors and was advised that there was not nearly enogh stitches used to close the wound. While I was laying on my back in the office the doctor was joking with his nurse about his new thread for stitches and did not seem to focused on teh patient (me). Since the stitching was done on my back I could not see the butcher job till I removed the bandages days later. I would not recommend going to this office for any further treatment.

Love Dr. Detweiler. His beside manner and overall attention was amazing.

very rarely see the dr only a nurse practitioner and the dr does not seem to know his patients at all

Staff is extremely unprofessional, Dr. will make as many follow up appointments as possible to bleed money from you/ your insurance company.You will wait 30 minutes to have a total 3 minutes of time spent in the examination room with an actual Dr, if you are lucky enough not to get pawned off onto the nurse practitioner.
