Dr. Allan Lee Kurtz, DO

I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Dr. Alan Kurtz and his office was so careless and unprofessional that I feel obligated to warn others. I specifically declined a certain blood test, yet the office went ahead and performed it anyway — without consent, without explanation, and without confirming what we actually requested. The results we received were for the wrong test, not the one we needed. When I reached out by email asking why the correct test wasn’t done, I didn’t get any real response at all. Instead, they kept sending me the same attachment of the unrequested blood work over and over, as if repeating the wrong test would somehow solve the problem. What made this even more concerning was that Dr. Kurtz told us “everything was okay” — even though the correct test was never performed and wasn’t in our file. He gave reassurance without having the right results in front of him. We paid cash, and even though the office ran a test we never authorized, they still refused… to issue a refund. No accountability, no explanation, and no effort to fix their error. A medical office should be accurate, transparent, and responsible. This one was the opposite. If you want a doctor who listens and actually reviews the correct results, look elsewhere. I wish someone had warned me.

I do not recommend him at all

Very poooor Doctor. Does not knows his meds. I explained Tequin blew out you Achilles tendon. Instead of looking on his computer and verify what the drug did, he screamed at me like a spoiled child. I told him what was going on with my body and his diagnosis was "your fat." My mirror told me that for free. Yet he claims to treat weight loss. What happened was I got Diabites from Tequin, yet he claims to know this field. Thank goodness he sent me to a real Doctor, a specialist who immediately knew I had Diabites and had it a long time. Kurtz was unable to catch this. I also had bronchitis, another field he claims to know, yet he never cured my Bronchitis. Do something good for your self find s real Doctor

This motherphucker thinks he's God. I waited for 1.5 hours & was never seen. No one told me this would be the wait time for this inconsiderate phucker. I kept telling them the extended wait time was creating an emergency at my house, my dog injured himself & had a seizure as a result of the extended time alone. I called the office expecting at the very least an apology and what I got from the receptionist/flunky is: QUOTE: He likes to make his patients wait 1.5 hours or more it's how he likes it *giggle* makes him feel important. Really??? Really? Inconsiderate phucker is a hack, Clearly, and If that is how he boosts his ego he's overcompensating for being a lousy doctor and a hack. This office and it's staff and it's hack doctor is a very obscene joke. I wonder how many people he has committed malpractice on... you should be ashamed of yourself for having your staff member admit on a recorded telephone call that you like to make your patients wait 1.5 hours or more because it… makes you feel important and inflates your ego, you self righteous, arrogant, callous, piece of feces. It is a sorry state of affairs when a so-called physician is more concerned with inflating his ego, according to statements made by his so-called staff, than he is with actual patient care. I hold these people responsible for what happened to my dog. I was clear when I made the appointment and when I got there I had about an hour tops to spare and was told, Oh, no worries. They were all inconsiderate, unprofessional, unfeeling, callous, rude, and arrogant.

Dr. Kurtz is the best. He listens to you and doesn't talk down to you. He is concerned for you and treats everyone with kindness. He's been my Doctor almost as long as he's been practicing and I am so happy I found him!

Dr Kurtz is a great and loving Doctor. I recommend Dr Kurtz to all my friends and family, and everyone loves him. I have such a great experience, the staff is great and Kate (PA) is amazing. I highly recommend his office to anyone who is looking for a loving and caring relationship with there physician.

Keeps inaccurate records and does not correct them even when informed of some dangerously wrong documented information. Loses records. Does not seem to care about accuracy and thoroughness. He appears nice and willing to make referrals, but does not take time to look at the whole person especially when complex medical issues are involved.

If you are looking for a very thorough and compassionate doctor, Dr. Kurtz is the answer. Dr. Kurtz spends the time necessary to (1st) listen to you and your concerns, (2nd) perform the necessary tests to make an accurate diagnosis and (3rd) follow ups with you to ensure the treatment plan works and freely refers to other providers as he deems necessary. Iâ??ve been to other doctors who after listening to my concerns just pull out the RX pad and off they go â?? perhaps having spent all of 3 minutes with me â?? Dr. Kurtz is not that type of MD. Great support staff.

My husband, son and I have been going to Dr. Alan Kurtz for several years now and have always had litle issues with the office staff. Never with the Doctor. We complained to Dr. Kurtz about his office staff's behavior and he said he would discuss it with them, but it does not appear that they have made any changes. They have overbilled us, charged our credit card, not returned our calls, kept us on hold for 20 minutes to make an appointment, made us wait in the waiting room for an hour, etc. However, my husband's visit last week was the "straw that broke the camel's back". He fasted from 8:00 PM so Dr. Kurtz could draw his blood at 8:00 AM. He arrived a few minutes earlier to find the office still closed, although it is supposed to be open at 7:30 AM, and people were already waiting in the hall. A few minutes after 8:00 AM the office is opened and everyone was asked to take a seat. At 8:15 AM my husband asked the receptionist, Tanya, when Dr. Kurtz would see him as he had… another appointment to get to. Tanya very rudely informed him Dr. Kurtz would not be in. When my husband explained to her he had an 8:00 AM appointment with him, Tanya said someone called him yesterday to inform him Dr. Kurtz would not be in. My husband told her no one called, so she asked him to "calm down and tell her what he needs". He told her he was coming in for a blood test. She continued to speak in a very rude and unapologetic tone and said "if I have to, I can draw your blood". Needless to say this was unacceptable so my husband left, but not before asking Tanya to have Dr. Kurtz call him. It has been about 3 days now and no call from Dr. Kurtz or anyone else in his office. I am now looking for a doctor's office who appreciate their patients and respect their time. I would not believe any 5 star reviews. Dr. Kurtz if you happen to read this please call us when you have a new office staff.
