Dr. Allan Quibilan Larcena, MD

I have been a patient of Dr larcena for many years. I have been well pleased because he takes care of my medical needs professionally! I do not agree with some of these reviews, I am proud when he tells me everything about the results of all my tests and if I need a specialist he refers me! What more could I ask for? He also took care of my father and other friends and family! And I love the nurses and all the team! Dr larcena keep up the good work! And I'll pray I never have to get another primary doctor.

i am new to the area and he is the only doctor I could get in with since I am on Medicaid. On the morning of my appointment, my son was sick and his office took both myself and my son as new patients. This saved me a trip to the ER. Dr. Larcena takes his time and gets to know his patients. His office called within 24 hours with my blood work results. I am hard to please when it comes to physicians. I really like this doctor. He is personable and thorough. If you are looking for a good doc that will listen to you, then he's your guy.

I don't see what everyone complains about. He is possibly one of the only doctors in Slidell that takes Medicaid, you can usually get in on the same day or the next day to see him, He is very knowledgeable about different conditions, and he goes out and beyond to make sure he helps you as much as he can. His staff is very pleasant to communicate with also. I feel he does great for a small independent practice

I've been seeing Dr Larcena for a few years now..everytime I go in to see him I have to explain my situation all over to him like it's the first time he is hearing it...he asks a lot of personal questions(which I understand b/c he is a doctor)but to ask me questions about my drug use history and I voluntarily tell him everything b/c I have nothing to hide. My drug history has nothing to do with why I am there, NOTHING. I have to get blood work done every six months for a thyroid conditon. When he goes to give me my blood work form, this man orders me to take a drug test....um last I checked I was at my doctor's office, not a probation office. If this man would really sit down and take his time and get to know his patients on more of a personal level he would see who I am TODAY not the person I use to be. I feel offended and untrustworthy now to open up to this man again. I'll be looking for another primary doc very soon

This man is a joke of a doctor. My mom went to him for primary care, and after looking at her medications decided he wanted to treat her for all of her problems, including her kidney disease , which REQUIRES the knowledge of a specialist. The only reason he wanted to do that is because she only gets 12 visits a year. He wanted her to see him every month and not go to her specialists! After getting lab results, he even had his nurse call and say he needed to see her "immediately" because her kidney function levels were high. You think? That's what her nephrologist is for. We told him this multiple times. He doesn't listen. He didn't even take her vitals. When she refused to come in the next day, he refused to refill any of her medications. He didn't even go to medical school in the states. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

i am fully satisfied with drs. professionalism but will take the time to listen if necessary. friendly and concerned.

This doctor doesnt care about his patients only the medicaid money he can get off of them. He deserves to have his license taken away from him. If you want real care, DO NOT GO AND SEE DR LARCENA

Dr larcena saw me on the same day i calle dhis staff got me in to see him which resulted in me not having to go to a crowded ER or Urgent care he is great and i would recommend him to all my family

My overall experience here was horrible fist I had a 9am appointment and waited until 11:30 to see the Dr. then waited in the back for another 20 mins. When Dr. Larcena finally came in he was already writing something and did not seem to care what was wrong with me or my needs. He spent about 2 mins with me wrote me a prescription and told me to make an appointment in a month. I am not going back and currently looking for a new dr. I would not recommend Dr. Larcena to my family or friends.
