Dr. Allan Realin Santiago, MD

The office manager Linda is not very nice. She talks to patients as if they’re stupid sometimes. She barely allows you to finish a sentence before she tells you to go and have a seat. She answers the phone with an attitude. Even the doctor gets irritated by her actions because she sometimes try to tell the doctor when to be done with a patient.

I attempted to make an appointment for one of my client at the 2091 Nostrand Avenue location : I was shocked the staff I encountered over the phone. To begin a lady answered the phone saying "yeah" and I asked "is this Dr. Santiago office?" She replied "yeah... what is it you calling for?" Im shocked but remain my polite self and explained to her "I'm a nurse trying to scheduled a visit for a client." As quick as she can: she uttered " doctor here Tue & Wed 1-6 in her native accent, but she was so fast I had to repeat days & times for confirmation. I continued to ask her the exact address of the facility since it is not indicated on patients medicaid card... well she screamed to someone in the background "take this I am doing something!" (I'm wishing the next person has more customer service oriented & afraid that my client will be treated with same demeanor if Dr. Santiago allows his staff to talk to any customer like this Guess what I got the same response from next staff. Whoever… my first female encounter was gave the phone to another female staff, whom I quickly asked their name (medical assist. - Leslie: so she said) and explained how rude the previous staff was and asked for a name. Well, Leslie only stated it was the Assistant Manager and refuse to give me her name, but she finally gave me the address for the facility and when I persisted to file a complaint she hung up on me. Make a long story short: I google the doctor and contacted the Bronx office, and reported to staff my occurrence with the Brooklyn office- the Bronx staff confirmed that it is normal behavior from the Nostrand location. I left a complaint and good luck to any patient visiting that location!
