Dr. Allard John Conger III, MD

I could write a novel about how wonderful this doctor is. I have been a patient of Dr. Conger's for almost 20 years and had three pregnancies and a few surgeries with him. I always had a great experience. I recently moved away and was just not having great luck finding a new OB/GYN and was needing a hysterectomy. I called Dr. Conger and asked his opinion of what to do and after talking to him for quite a while, he told me he had a great guy in his office who I should come see. I made the 5 hour drive north to go see his associate, and was immediately comfortable with him and scheduled a surgery. Dr. Conger assisted with the surgery and it was a breeze and I am so glad I called Dr. Conger and got great advice. My problem is now solved! I trust Dr. Conger 100% and he was worth the drive back north to see him. He is smart, caring, and genuinely cares about his patients. You won't find many doctors that are this good and care this much. Best doctor ever!

When we were having our 4th child, my wife and I were both present for a standard pregnancy checkup. During the visit, I attempted to inform Dr. Conger that during the last delivery a minimum of anesthesia was used for the epidural and seemed to work the best for my wife. Dr. Conger immediately told me not to tell him how to do his job with a very nasty tone whereupon I said I'm not telling him how to do his job but letting him know what worked well for us in the past as this was his first delivery with us. He barked that I indeed was telling him how to do his job and basically for me to shut up. The rest of the exam was uncomfortable for me and more so for my wife who was the one in the medical robe.Dr. Conger was very competent medically during delivery, but he lacks essential bedside manners and basic courtesy. I'd suggest visiting another doctor who doesn't have such a chip on his shoulder or inflated ego.

Never do you want this doctor. He knows his stuff but has a horrible bedside manner. We were asked to give an opinion of the doctor by his practice. My wife gave her opinion stating basically he is rude. the staff went to the doctor and the doctor black listed her from all Women's Healthcare Associates in Oregon. After a very long talk with the head lady at the office, it is there practice if they recieve a complaint that it is best to take them out of the system and not let them use our services to make sure we do not get sued. The bad thing is, they asked my wife 3 times for a review and finally agreeing to do so. So they want your opinion but doing so, you will be blacklisted from all facilities. Because of this we have to drive almost 40 minutes to a doctor rather than five minutes. How is this leagal?

I came from the Bay 10 years ago... had the best ob/gyn in the world.. only he lacked some bedside manner. A friend referred me to Bud, and he is the total package: smart, caring and easy to talk to. The staff is great, I have not been pregnant there, as I am too old, but as far as all my other needs, could not ask for a better doc.

I was a patient with Dr Conger for several years. I thought he was a pretty good doctor until I got pregnant. I just felt like I was a number and that he didn't care. His staff treated me terribly. They were rude and acted like I was impositioning them. When I needed the doctor or even a nurse to call me back it would be hours before I would get a call back and some times not at all. When I complained Allard didn't even care. I complained to the office manager and Allard told me he didn't realize what awful service I was getting. He gave me a personal line (yeah right) no one ever answered it and my messges I left were never answered when I saw him he said he never got the messages. When it was time to have the baby the doctor on call delivered- didn't even talk to me and Allard never even came to see me or follow up. Stupid me went back to him and when It started all over again and I was pregnant I had a really hard time getting an appointment. The girl in the office told… me that I couldn't have a test unless my insurance approved it. So stupid- I wasn't even in a HMO or PPO or EPO at the time. I had just great straight insurance! So I found a new doctor. Boy that was the best thing I did. When I called to have my records forwarded I had all sorts of problems. I also asked the good Dr. Conger to call me to discuss why I was leaving and he never called me back and I was told by staff that he didn't have time to call me. So glad I left. I was treated really bad. I am glad to hear that some people got 4 and 5 star service.
