Dr. Allen T Banegura, MD

I had terrible fear and apprehension about my endoscopy and colonoscopy. He took the time to explain both procedures and be sure that I understood. He and his team were wonderful on the day of the procedures. He has been equally as thoughtful, thorough and patient with my follow-up care. I highly recommend this excellent physician!

I've seen several and none can come close to his level of knowledge and caring. Although I hate having to see him, it's not because of his medical care. It's because the illness is flaring and could mean loads of tests and possible hospitalization.

Very good and attentive doctor.

I have had two procedures with Dr. Banegura and will continue to go to him for my screenings. Staff is friendly and while I had to wait a bit, it was not excessive.

was assigned my case when i came into ER.it took over 6 hours from arriving to when i finally saw him. granted this was late at night, but i should have been gotten to quicker being that i was there for a seizure. the hospital "staff" was noisy. while i was trying to rest, they stood outside the area where my bed was parked and laughed *i* got yelled at and was told a cop would be called if i did it again. at that time this doctor showed up and i was given a private room. i was given very little information over my remaining time there as to what they discovered and what the game plan is. when you are a busy person, it is nice to know at least when they think you might leave, what they are thinking so far and what is going to be done about it. "just lay there and be quiet" does not work for me if i am ailing. i felt fine so i decided to pack up my stuff and go home. i have not heard from them since. kudos to a lady at the reception desk named helen for finding some meds i had… left behind. had to go back and get them, but it was nice they saved them for me. the paramedics were super also.

I was especially pleased with the time Dr. Banegura spent with me going over medical history, and explaining the procedures to be performed. I truly appreciate that he did not rush through my consultation or exam.I would have no problem recommending Dr. Banegura to other patients.

I was so impressed wih Dr. Banegura when I first visited him that I was shocked when I read the previous review at this site. This couldn't possibly be about the Dr. Banegura who I had just met, or his staff who were efficient and polite. My experience was so far removed from that review that I decided to put my confidence in Dr. Banegura and continue with him as my doctor for a procedure that he had recommended.The procedure was performed at a new facility and the staff was courteous and attentive throughout. Dr. Banegura explained everything to me before and after the procedure, gave me a written report and instructions. I also spoke with a nurse and someone from Dr. Banegura's office called me later at home to see if I had any questions or problems.My initial appointment with Dr. Banegura was on a day when I was distressed over a number of non-health related issues. Dr. Banegura took note of my distress and was so kind to me that it is something I will always remember. My… impression was that of a truly caring person who had chosen the right profession.

Dr. Banegura was the worst physician i have ever had the displeasure of visiting. The wait time once I arrived was outrageous. There was no one at the counter when i arrived. The staff was having lunch in a back office and carrying on very loud and inappropriate conversations. I had to have a procedure done and instead of explaining the procedure to me i was given 2 websites to do my own research. once the procedure was completed he did not even bother to come and see me in recovery to discuss the next steps. I was given papers that said to take medications but not for what how much , when, or whether it needed to be taken on any empty or full stomach. when i called back to the office to get this information i was told i would not remember what he told me anyway so someone would call me in 3 or 4 days to discuss it. when i had a lot of pain and discomfort after the procedure i called the office again and was told to take the medicine and if later on that night i was still in pain… contact the on call physician. once i had done that the physician told me it was late at night and call my dr. in the morning or go to the emergency room. Dr. Banegura never even called after i contacted the on call physician the next day to check and see how i was doing. At this stagevthanks to him i am left with crppling abdominal pain and nausea that he won't even address. i would never recommend him to anyone
