Dr. Allen Clifford Bragdon

Everything about my care and treatment, including thoroughness, bedside manner, clear information and explanation, attention to all details of wound care, and promptness, was excellent. I have nothing but praise for Doctor Bragdon and his nursing support.

I was hurting in my stomach, chest and arm; I thought I was having a heart attack. So I was rushed into a room the nurses were hooking me up so they could see if I was having a heart. Also they did the normal ER questions, blood drawn and vitals. The doctor never touch me I told him the places where the pain was and how severe. At about 4 in the morning and I was still in pain DR. Bragdon leaned over me and said Now dear the blood test came up with nothing so now we both know there is nothing wrong with you. It took me about 5 minutes to get from the bed to the wheelchair still hurting and almost crying the nurse went and got the doctor to come back in. He said now where are you hurting dear He talked down to me and in a very condescending voice. I said In the same places I told you earlier He said well why dont you get back on the bed so I take a look. It took everything I had just to get off that bed. I said No I have had enough I am going home. As he walked away he said I have other… patients to look at. What a jerk he had no bed side manner and a holier than thou attitude maybe someday that will bite him in butt. My foreman drove me home he didnt want me to drive because my pain was so intense. The next day the pain had lighted a little but I still couldnt get out of bed. So I called in to work explained I was still in pain. Then I called my family doctor well they were all filled up but I could get in on Monday I didnt think I was going to make it by Monday. Saturday about noon my son said mom you are in the same spot when I left this morning. Thats it he said you are going to Carson city hospital I thought great more people to tell me its all in my head. The ER did the same blood tests which came out fine but instead of stopping there they did more test. The CAT scan showed I have diverticulitis Thank god I am not crazy. The surgeon explained everything to me if he had to go in and fix this, sometimes it can be taken care of with just medication. I was put in ICU and that next morning I was still hurting so the doctor made the call to have surgery and fix this diverticulitis. When I woke up I find out it wasnt the diverticulitis but a peptic ulcer that and the gastric fluid was going in to my body. I stayed in ICU for 7 days and on the floor for 5 days. Shame on Dr. Bragdon I will never go to Greenville ER and I will spread the word about this doctor I know I cant be the only one he didnt care about.
