Dr. Allen Edward Carignan, MD

Dr. Carignan chooses to be a physician that is trying to be part of the solution...instead being a contributor to the problem. He is a doctor who truly tries to help you manage your pain by other means than dishing out piles of opioids for a kickback or for higher practise billing rates. He is REAL and HONEST with his patients and is not there to feed you a line of crap with a side of percocet. I have been his patient for some time now, and I am grateful that there is at least one doctor who cares enough to try and help me instead of making me just another statistic.

This doctor needs to go back to pain management training. And he needs a personality adjustment. He mis prescribed me Pain meds that equaled less than half my dose of pain meds. It landed me in the ER. said what he thought of me but would not discuss why. Said I would have no breakthrough pain( what a joke) and said I would not have withdrawls. in addition to the fact I am allergic to adhesives and he said well try it for a week.( ended up with a rash and blisters)

I don't recall ever having an experience with a doctor like I did this guy. He was condescending, cold, and not interested in hearing what I had to say. I don't know what makes him like this but it is enough to scare me off. The staff was great and helpful but even they cannot make up for the dissatisfaction I felt with this doctor. Save yourself some grief and go somewhere else. I honestly do not believe he cares about you or your condition or how you feel. I am in extreme pain and I have to wait a few days longer to see another doctor. But quite honestly I feel it is worth it. I don't know how a doctor who is so bad was people can be a very effective clinician. After years and years of bad reviews you would think he would learn something oh, but it does not appear to be the case.

He’s condescending only cares about his beliefs on pain management. Doesn’t look at the individual person who has chronic pain and is diagnosed as such. Would never recommend him to anyone not even my enemy

Excellent physician.

he never examined me but rather cut me back by over half my meds on my first visit with him. my second visit was the same. his bedside manner is so rude that he wouldn't even shake my hand. he never talked to be but at me. told me I don't have the pain I have, then when I asked what I could do to help this agony he said, "well, sometimes we just don't get the help we need" then walked out. I will NOT be seeing him again, too bad because I've been going to this pain facility for 10 years. No one should be treated this way

Physician was unprepared, didn't have any knowledge about my illnesses, didn't do an exam. Was demeaning and degrading per my experience I recommend him to no body.

Horrible experience. He was condescending, made assumptions, talked at me and not with me. I would characterize him as s bully.

I was referred to Seacoast pain by my neurologist. Originally she wanted me to see Dr. Tobin but this doctor was the one on for the day. I was there for a new patient consultation. I expected to discuss my injury and treatment options available. He would not answer my question about physical therapy, and when I asked him a question about the shot and how it would effect my spinal cord he snapped at me saying, " this is why we don't want our patients reading their reports." Rude is an understatement. BIG RED FLAG ON THIS ONE.

Very caring and thoughtful doctor. He helped me get over my back pain. Got my life back. Would highly recommend.
