Dr. Allen Ross Criswell, MD

I found my experience with Dr. Criswell to be great!! He performed a total hip replacement on me and it has gone extremely well. The doctor was very thourgh when explaining what would be done during surgery. I am VERY happy with the results.

Dr Criswell is one of the lousiest doctors. My mom had leg pain and had xrays taken, to determine if she had bone problems. She ended up having arthritis, and he was very abrupt spent maybe 2 minutes with us, didn't seem to care at all, she left with a brace on, put on by one of the nurses. There was no follow up appt, and he never prescribed therapy like he said he was. What an inept doctor, who is lousy, uncaring, with a capital C,rushed, no questions asked of him he could care less about his patients, Just herds people in and out, not worth my money and time. Don't waste your time on this doctor, won't be going back.

Surgery was fine. The numerous follow up appointments were not helpful. Dr. C seemed standoffish and rushed. He showed no compassion and personal care whatsoever. His heart honestly doesn't seem to be on his work. Maybe he should consider retiring. He really doesn't seem happy. I felt like just another number, a crippled one at that. He kept me on pain meds about 2 months too long and personally called me one day and ordered me to stop cold turkey. The next week was one of the hardest of my life. Full out withdrawals and detox. I'm fortunate something tragic didn't happen. Sad!

I scheduled the earliest appointment in order to avoid the backup. however, I got in there 8am and didn't even got to see him until 930am. I told the assistants that i need to be back to the office for a meeting soon and can't wait longer, then I got a chance to see him. he only spent at most 3 mins with me, he was a bit upset when I asked to be seen after waiting over 1 hour in the office. ( He was late that morning). Anyway, after the exam, he said that i Need a surgery and special made insert. I am well informed and educated about my symptom and highly doubt his suggestion. (i went to see another doctor after him, it turns out i only need to wear a store sold inserts costs me less then $20 than a customized one costs me $250!! and no surgery needed whatsoever!!) i didn't return to him of course and i will not recommend him.

Dr. Criswell totally botched our operation. If you're smart find "ANY" other Doctor.
