Dr. Allen Bernard Horne, MD

My parents saw Dr. Horne & his Nurse Practitioner, Pat, for decades. THIS PRACTICE IS NOW CLOSED. Dr. Horne retired September of 2024

A friend of mine recommended this office mainly For the convenience of location. It was a decision to go use his medical services. He is okay as a dodtor, I have seen much better ones who acres actually about patients but the worst is his staff. It is not a hospital but a call center. They will put you on hold and never pick it up again, maybe they forget that someone is on hold. They never called me about my lab results, so I called back three days in a row and all three days I was being put on hold for at least 15 minutes each time multiple times a day before I decided to give up and hang up. So, I ran out of choices and left a message on emergency line. Someone named Melanie called back finally and could not explain my lab results and said they will just mail it to me. So, I asked for someone who could explain tomme the lab results as I am not a doctor and may not understand all the numbers even if I get the results on the mail. She said she could not explain since was not a… clinincal person and she out me on hold again. Then she said Horne's nutse would call me back and that they would also email my numbers. I have my phone number and emails address, no one called back or emailed me. So, I called back again the next day and Melanie answrrd again and told me in a nice rude way that someone called and left a message and I told her that I did not get a phone call or email and whether she could verify my nunber and she said not sure what nunber it was and I do t have your stuff jn front of me, so I don't know. So That got me really angry and I told her that I would like to soeak to Horne. She hung up kn me, I called her back and asked her if I could talk to Horne, she told me horne was with patient and hung up again. So, I called back again, thank god skmeone named Rania answered and was decent enough to get my nunber and tell me horne would call me back. So, finally after impossible attemtps to get hold of horne, I told them that I was switching providers because they treated the patients was just unacceptable and response was not even we apologize, the response was by the way we are packing your records and mailing out so you can get a new provider. Absolutely terrible experience. Thank God for them mailing my records, I would never step a foot in that pkace again anywyay, so many good doctors in the area and I chose the most terrible office. I can't wait to have a new probider who will be caring, I am sure anyone willbe better and any hospital I will choose will be better experience than this horrible place. I would not recommend to anyone and even the people who recommended it to me, apologized and told me they will switch too. Best of luck to horne with that kind of staff members, melanie is just a rare gem!!!

Horrible medical practice. Dismissive and unprofessional. They make assumptions and draw conclusions that are unfounded. They lack any semblance of curiosity. The office staff is highly dysfunctional; referrals are a nightmare.

My husband I have been going to Dr Hornes office since 2004. Our Primary was Dr. Ibrahim. since 2011 it seems like a battle field every time we need a referral of scripts refilled,either they arent filled or filled correctly. Dr. Horne is a good guy but I believe his staff is causing his practice a great injustice and he is loosing business. He always seemed stressed and bothered.Beware of the Referral and Office Manager they will give you grief.

Very nice, engaging man. Really seems to listen and takes the time to understand. No rushing.

I see Dr.Horne at least 4 times a year. I have noticed him to be a little moody. There are times where I come in and he loves to talk and we discuss my overall health and there's times when he just walks in and walks right out. I waited almost 20 minutes for him to come back to the room after being interrupted by his nurses.

Dr. Horne has been my primary pyhsician for more than 10 years. I am most satisfied with the care I have received. I haven't had the wait experiences others may have had. I am usually seen within 5 minutes of my arrival in his waiting room.
