I've been seen by Dr. Kallor for several years now- because he is very courteous and informative. The front desk staff however, are very unprofessional- i.e. asking purpose of f/u visit, and having personal conversations with other staff while a patient is waiting at the desk, to name a few. He would benefit from retraining/ hiring new support staff.

Great doc, many years of successful treatment

Dr. Kallor, Why would you take a personal phone call on your iPhone during my exam? I just do not get it. You seem knowledgeable to me but that was so wrong.

Walked in to my very first appointment to find a bloody gauze on the floor. Apparently, I was the only one to see it because everyone who walked into the room totally ignored it. Told that I would have a prescription called in that I still don’t have months later. Told that if I didn’t improve by “next visit” I would be put on a stronger med yet at the following visit it wasn’t brought up and was instead told that there was nothing else he could do for me if his new med didn’t work. Totally ignored my other medical condition that is related to the skin condition where it got so bad I was almost put on disability. Luckily, I found a rheumatologist who put me on a med that takes care of both conditions. Family members had recommended him and couldn’t believe what I am going through with him. I will be requesting my records to find someone else. I gave him a year and everything got worse.

I am surprised by the negative reviews on here. I've seen Dr. Kallor several times over the last few years and have never experienced a single negative thing. As another reviewer noted, he may seem a bit short on time, but I found that to be the case with almost every doctor today, sadly. But every exam, and treatment I have had with him has been a positive, professional experience. His staff even took high quality photos of parts of my skin and put that on file for record keeping and later comparison. This was very helpful as professional medical photography can be very expensive, and rarely covered by insurance. I should also state that in a minor surgical procedure Dr. Kallor performed on me his actual work was excellent and extremely precise. I healed perfectly, without a single complication. This site does not list APRN's, but out of his New Britain office is Donna Ford who I have seen, and been very impressed with. I would not hesitate to recommend her in a moment if you… cannot see Dr. Kallor, or wish to see someone else, a female perhaps.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kallor for several years at his Rocky Hill location. The office staff is friendly, and Dr. Kallor is pleasant and knowledgeable. The only negative I feel is that I tend to always feel like he is rushing through my appointment. I was surprised to read some negative reviews. I have never visited with a problem, I basically come in once a year for a skin check, so I don't have any experience with having a concern.

I recently was seen by Dr. Allen Kallor for a specific ongoing skin condition. I had been to multiply dermatologist prior to this visit and could never get any answers. I was very impressed with his knowledge, he knew exactly was it was. Not to mention his assistant Jennifer went above and beyond for me and was terrific!! She made me feel so comfortable. I would recommend Dr. Kallor to anyone.
