I had suffered pain and he said there were no stones and it was something with the prostate. Went to another Urologist and found a stone and had it removed end of pain.

My husband went to visit Dr. Kern yesterday. When we walked in he was anxious, couldn't wait to see the Dr. After his visit he was relaxed and relieved. Dr. Kern is very much a great doctor. Nuff said

I have to agree with most of the reviews I read. I have been experiencing symptoms of a UTI which is ongoing for almost a month. I was treated by my physician with antibiotics and then went to see DR Kern when it didn’t go away. He talked more about his experience shopping than my problem. Prescribed meds that did not work so I went back. Waited 45 minutes in the exam room. He came in, seemed puzzled that the meds did not work, gave me more meds without dudcussing anything with me. Literally spent 3 minutes and told me to come back next week. . Very disappointed.

My husband had an appointment for a biopsy. We were told from the office staff & our insurance company that the procedure would be covered if performed in the dr. office. My husband prepped for the procedure, showed up at the office & was told that "no" our insurance would not cover the procedure & it would have to be done in the hospital. So my husband comes home & calls our insurance company which then was told "Yes" the procedure would be covered in the dr. office. We feel the only reason Dr. Kern's office would not do the procedure in his office would be so we would be responsible to pay his fee out of our pocket, which by the way we were told $1600.(We have $2500 deductible, so nothing would be paid if performed in a hospital setting until the deductible is met)

15 years ago my family doctor suspected bladder cancer and sent me to doctor Kern. After looking at the scans which my family doctor had ordered, dr. Kern ordered a biopsy, which he did himself, within a week. As soon as the results of the biopsy came in he ordered surgery, which he also did himself and again within a week. I was surprised at the quick action but did not learn until after the surgery that I was probably within 2 months of the cancer spreading. I now get checked by dr. Kern once a year. When he is busy, he is very quick and business-like. On a slow day he takes the time to give health tips or discuss our common hobby of gardening. I turned 80 earlier this year and realized I probably would not have made it this far if it wasn't for doctor Kern and other good doctors like him.

I've been going to Dr. Kern for over 15 years. I've had interstitial cystitis, bladder polyps, and ongoing kidney stones, and he has always helped me. I always find him to be very calm, clear, and conservative, and he explains all my options, without any pressure. He never rushes my appointment, and actually once gave me an earlier surgery spot by a week knowing that I was too nervous to wait. He has always helped me with my kidney issues, and I highly recommend him.

He was recommended by a disinterested GP. After just one or two visits he informed me that he did not have his own PSA's tested. Imagine a Dr telling a patient that he (Dr.) ignored critical testing. At almost every intervention he told me about the important meetings he went to and his important opinion on the data. Finally he told me I needed a biopsy and he could do it in his office. I agreed and after 5 or 6 very painful punctures I dressed and went back to the examination room. When Kern returned he said he was sorry that he did not ask if I wanted a local anesthesia. Thank you doctor for telling me now!! He seems to have no sincere regard for his patients health

not enough verbal interaction with the patient, my urology issue stems from early hysterectomy, IC etc he needs to improve on patient doctor interaction

I left his office in tears. He was the only Urologist in Hunterdon County that I could see with medicaid. I was in so much pain. He looked disgusted with me, like I was one of those hysterical women that he was not going to treat. This doctor is the epitome of sexism. I felt like I was talking (arguing) with Rush Limbaugh about my bladder and private parts. It was awful! He even said to me, "I don't know what is wrong with you." Hunterdon county needs a female urologist that accepts medicaid and treats patients with interstitial cystitis!!! If you have interstitial cystitis try Princeton Urogynecology.

this guy is a joke as well as a jerk he thinks he is all that i had surgery there at his office then a year later the problem came back he told me he couldnt help me and told me my problem was normal
