Dr. Allen Okie, MD

I am a very complicated case with multiple autoimmune disorders and complex allergies. After informing him of the complexity of my symptoms, Dr. Okie still offered to take me on as a patient. He understands that practitioners must consider lab results, past and current medical history, and listen to their patients when they explain what is "usual" for them. For example: Although my expiratory force is above average, my coughs and expirations are weaker than ever before. My stats are normal or above normal becuase I exercise and take really good care of myself. Most of the other doctors I have seen focus on my superficial health and minimize the signs and symptoms that have caused chronic pain and suffering for most of my life. Dr. Okie recognizes that everyone is unique and I am honored to be his patient.

Please explain to me how an allergist with such so called experience can have an office that smells of mold and spores? How can this be safe for patients who are experiencing asthma due to allergies? I will never go back to this office and I did not find these people helpful or curteous just disrespectful, rude, and assuming. Everyone isnt trying to get something for nothing as Dr. Okie is (patients). He had no concern for me as a person or patient even after suffering a violent asthma attack while on a visit to his office.

I know Dr. Okie for many years. He took care of my daughter 30 years ago, in New Jersey, she was always sick. Dr Okie is the only Dr. who helped her. He is a wonderful , caring Dr. and the only Dr. who helped my Daughter. I highly recommend him . Florida is lucky to have him. He is missed in New Jersey even after all these years.

Dr Okie treated my daughter for many years and myself as asthmatics. Our family Dr could not do anything more for our daughter and recommended Dr. Okie. He was wonderful. I would recommend him to anyone. Takes all the time he needs with you answers questions etc.

Dr. Okie is the best doctor I've found in years. He takes plenty of time to listen and always makes you feel like a person instead of a number. I've found him to be very caring and understanding and always thorough. I've recommended Dr. Okie to several people and will continue to recommend him.

Dr. Okie was able to diagnose in 5 minutes what my primary care doctor could not after 6 visits! His knowledge and bedside manner are topnotch!

It' since to go to an office where the doctor knows his patients!

After several visits, I realized why it is so easy to get appt. The staff in his office is horrible (never pick up the phone, make mistakes, rude), and one ends up waiting about an hour each time. If you dare say a word about it he flips... After spending tons of money on tests and labs, all he said was "Take Benadryl". Geez, thanks Doc.
