Dr. Allen Danforth Pettee, MD

Dr. Pettee has worked with me through a chronic balance/inner ear issue for a considerable length of time. He is focused and thorough and I have always known that I've got a true ally in coping with a condition that is resistant to treatment.

Very personable. Knowledgable. Thorough in his testing . Informs me of the meaning of all my results and cares about my well being. Good man.

Great doctor. Helped me with my problem.

I found him very competent during my initial visit. Asked a lot of questions others had not asked. He thoroughly examined my ongoing "foot drop" symptoms and did not rush our time. Scheduled me for MRI next. More later.

I found him to be arrogant and condescending. He spent a great deal of my time talking about the incompetence of my other doctors. I was sent to him for a nerve study by my back doctor. I have another neurologist who I see for other issues and he is personable and highly competent, but Dr. Pettee works out of the back doctor's office occasionally so I am assuming it is "one hand washes the other". I would not go to this neurologist again!

Three months to get the appointment. Petee was in a hurry and made it clear he wasn't interested. I was insulted when describing my symptoms. Lots of money for nothing.

At my first appointment I felt that I was being told I had anxiety as the reason for my pain before the doctor asked me my history. The room is old and not warm or inviting. I was charged a whole lot of money for an office visit. The secretary could of warned me about the price before coming in and then wanting the money up front while checking out.

Excellent~! Have seen him many times over the years.

Dr. Pettee is extremely knowledgeable of the nervous system and of diagnosing the source of problem area and pain. Our family finds him to be a careful listener and responsive to our concerns.

He seemed very competent and professional to me, although I'm still awaiting test results.
