Allen Daniel Sabatino, CRNP

Allen Sabatino is a nurse practitioner specializing in pediatric pulmonology. He cares for children and adolescents from birth through age 18, treating conditions including asthma, bronchopulmonary dysplasia (a lung condition often affecting premature babies), chronic lung disease, neuromuscular respiratory weakness and sleep disorders such as sleep-disordered breathing and sleep apnea. A certified asthma educator, his primary clinical focus is asthma. “I enjoy working with children,” he says. “My goal is to help them and their family in any way I can.”He earned his Master of Science in Nursing from Misericordia University. He notes that becoming a nurse practitioner was a lifetime goal.Mr. Sabatino served in the United States Navy as an active-duty hospital corpsman from 1981 to 1985, deploying with Marine Corps units for most of his service. In 1991, he deployed with a 500-bed field hospital in the Saudi Arabian desert to support Marine Corps operations …during Operation Desert Shield/Storm. He received a letter of commendation for outstanding service, along with recognition from the United States Senate, Congress and Wilkes-Barre city leadership. “The skills or values I have learned from my military service that have stayed with me through my career include honor and professionalism, adaptability and resilience, preparedness and accountability,” he notes. “Always keep pushing forward and always try to lead by example.”Outside of work, Mr. Sabatino enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, as well as history, photography, golf and bowling.
