Dr. Allison Lorraine Krichbaum

Allison is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who provides comprehensive mental health care to patients of all ages and with a wide range of diagnoses. With over 27 years of experience in the medical field, she brings a deep understanding of both medical systems and mental health treatment.Her career has included diverse roles across various healthcare settings. She began as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Emergency Technician, later serving as a Registered Nurse (RN) for more than 25 years—18 of those years in the emergency department. These roles provided her with invaluable clinical experience and a strong foundation in acute care.Allison’s interest in mental health grew throughout her career, leading her to earn a master’s degree in psychology with a focus on addiction medicine. She went on to work in an outpatient behavioral health program for five years, where she treated individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. …During this time, she also completed her master’s degree in nursing to become a PMHNP.In addition to her clinical work, Allison has taught in the nursing program at her local community college, further demonstrating her commitment to education and the advancement of healthcare professionals.She is currently based at our Frederick, MD location, where she continues to deliver high-quality, compassionate mental health care.
